So are people waiting up until after midnight to see if it installs?

http://www.windowscentral.com/window...m-each-country

"We've already gotten word that the Windows 10 rollout is underway in countries where the date has already ticked over to July 29. However, Spanish blog Microsoftinsider.es has been able to confirm that the rollout is starting promptly as the clock ticks over to 12 a.m. in each country."

HOWEVER, reading the comments, this doesn't seem to be the case, I don't think there are any reliable reports of people getting the upgrade, even in places like New Zealand and Australia where its currently 10am

Somehow that seems inappropriate if your moniker is accurate .

It's going to be a case of a load of these or possibly This or This depending how the install goes.

Could someone help me please?

I have a HP laptop at the moment. When I do upgrade to Windows 10, ideally I would like to do a clean install, however if something happens to my laptop and it needs to go to HP, I don't think they will cover you if you've overridden their bloated windows do they? Would I just be able to use the recovery partition if so to return it back to the HP version?

Where would I get the clean install from, and would my HP/Win 8 key work?

Thanks

I would imagine the HP recovery would help you get out of any trouble at this is on a separate partition. I only got my new HP laptop today and i will be putting Windows 10 on it.

Do you have links to people that have managed to apply the upgrade? Reading the comments on Windows websites, I havent seen anyone, anywhere who has got the update yet.

My 'Get Windows 10' screen is stating the time as currently in the 11PM hour (its currently 12AM BST. So the UK release must be GMT time locked.

As I said earlier in thread, make a full image backup of PC, before you upgrade, to an external usb drive (recommend my favorite Macrium Reflect Free - base version really is free and all you need) and then if you get a problem, you just restore PC back to old system.

At the moment for most of us, upgrading is the only option.

Do an image backup, and then go for it!
