If I check my update history I get.

80240020 Update to Windows 10 Pro = FAILED

At some stage in the middle of the night, checking for updates again shows nothing.

Here is the official media creation tool;

Quote:
“If you need to install or reinstall Windows 10, you can use the tools on this page to create your own installation media using either a USB flash drive or a DVD.

Use the media creation tool to download Windows. This tool provides the best download experience for customers running Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. To learn how to use the tool, go to the Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool page. Tool includes:
File formats optimized for download speed.
Built in media creation options for USBs and DVDs.
Optional conversion to ISO file format.”

I reserved the update weeks ago and the little Windows icon told me that I was all ready to go as soon as I received the notification right up until this morning. Now it tells me I can't have the update because I have an Nvidia graphics card. What am I supposed to do now? Change my graphics card or wait for an update?

hmmm I hope this isnt true http://forums.windowscentral.com/win...tm#post3172825

"What this error means is, your Windows 10 installation folder is unfinished and/or corrupted. Now, how do you fix that?
1. Go into "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and delete everything in that folder.
2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
3. Go to your Control Panel > Windows Update and your Windows 10 should start re-downloading from scratch, hopefully without flaws this time"

Yes, but the FAQ is still pretty vague about where the product key comes from if you are doing a clean install. It would be nice to know how Microsoft 'remembers' that you upgraded a system from 7/8 to 10 for free.

I have MSDN so I'm hoping I will be able to get ISOs and keys from there is I need them.

Might be wrong but that sounds like something is not compatible at the moment so its not installing, of course I am probably totally wrong however my WiFi would not work with the preview builds.

Also download speed of iso is fast so again, Microsoft servers haven't gone into meltdown

I'd interpret that as: "At least one device in your computer hasn't got a Windows 10 driver yet."

Did you have any previous failed attempts in your update history?

If it is a missing driver, I wonder if there's an install log which tells you which one?

Yes the updates par had a couple if failed things.
I closed windows update and clicked the windows 10 icon in corner of the screen and rather than the usual telling me I had reserved it, it said it was ready go install, now on a black screen with a round percent icon giving progress
