That's not what the guy at Microsoft said, but I'll take your word for it, since you usually know what you're talking about when it comes to PC matters. Tbh, the guy at MS didn't make sense to me, as then any consumer could install W10 on a separate partition. According to the compatibility tool, my PC is upgradeable, but as it's over 4.5 years old, I'm not convinced yet all the hardware will work. If that is not the case I'd have to uninstall W10 and I'd be willing to put money on my W7 setup not being the same as it was before.
This 'Something happened' message didn't even come with an error code, let alone an error description. Hard to believe even MS could release an OS with that in 'the code' to the consumer/general public.
