True, very true. The worrying things is because of their domination they can more or less pull the pug when they want.
Can you imagine if Ms decided to change the terms on using their software and if you do not like it then you do not use it? The whole world would come to a stand still
A mate of mine who runs a business, runs Linux, as he said he is not going to be dictated to by MS or apple for that matter. I thought he was mad when he first said about it, but he have been using linux for over five years and have no problem and after seeing the privacy issues with windows 10, maybe he is not the mad one after all.

In their dreams. I would say they have approximately zero chance of dominating the mobile market. they would be happy to have a large enough share, say, 10-15%, to matter.
(In terms of mobile profits you could argue that Apple is the current monopolist. It has 90%+ of the profits.)

While i am not a fan of MS and I do agree that MS is unlikely to dominate the mobile phone or tablet market, I do think it is good to have competition. I do not like domination in any sector, it is not good for us the consumers.
TBH, once my nexus goes belly up I am thinking of getting a standard phone again, all these smart phones, while they are fine for certain things, they do seem to want to know your life story. I do find it useful for looking at emails, but I have turned so much off on my Nexus like Location I do not think it is worth having.

Junk that is not needed by you but that is needed by others. Bloat is subjective.”
Then would it not be a good idea there was a way to uninstall it, not just disable it? Look at some of the apps, even on Windows 8 that can not be uninstalled.
A Os should be a Os, something that have stopped happening a few years back now.
Look back to Windows 95 and what you got was 95 and that was about it, sure you got a few games and note pad, but in my version it did not even have a browser built in, I had to install that separately.
I know MS are not the only ones guilty of this, Apple is no better.

“If you don't like MS then don't use it. OK, so there's some stuff you use that only works on windows. Well, you can also create your own operating system if you like or create your own Linux distro and make that product work or ask the vendor if they can make it work. No-one will put you in jail if you do.”
If I did not have to use Windows I would not, I am getting closer to not having to use it and just waiting for Kdenlive to get better, could be waiting a long time mind you.
Saying that I did edit and render a video last night using Kdenlive and it was fine, but that was a pretty simple video that did not need some of the features that Vegas have.
If I had the skills to create my own OS, do you think I would be working in a supermarket?
Linux does 90% of what I want to be honest, it is just the video editing part. since I need windows to do that I have to stick with it and also I paid a lot of money for Vegas, abandoning it now would be money wasted, so I will stick with windows 8.1 as Vegas seems to play up on 10 anyway.
