in today message post by russell t davis he says regeneration is a major huge part of dr who, so i say, WHY DIDNT YOU DO IT IN EPISODE ONE ROSE THEN ????

One of the aims of the first episode was to introduce the characters and concepts of Dr who to an new audience (as well as tell a story). He felt a regeneration would have been a bit too much for new and young viewers to take in in the initial show.

Still we will have a regeneration to look forward to this time around! Hurrah! Sorry that Chris is going as he has given the series a new lease of life along with RTD et al but hopefully David Tennant will stick around a bit longer given he has always been a fan of the show.

So Deaddog what are your current thoughts on the thread that was ongoing last night about the bad wolf scenario or if anyone else has any ideas to throw into the mix share them with us.

I have difficulties in accepting the "doctor isn't the doctor"speculations, not because of the evidence and reasons put forward but because I just can't see RTD having such a major"gotcha" at the end. If the doctor was an established character to the viewers then maybe, but not after only 12 episodes.

The evidence (from Nestene/little Blue aliens) supports that the TARDIS is the/a bad wolf . This does not contradict the "doctor isn't the doctor" speculation but makes it less likely.

I think extra pieces of the puzzle we be revealed tonight which should help clear it up

apparently tonights episode is a two parter? thats gonna make me even more on edge for next weeks episode! lol

I still think we'll see a timescoop later in the series (a-la Pertwee's Carnival of Monsters) for the reality tv episode later in the series.

Yeah it's a two parter set in the current day, and Rose's boyfriend from Auf Wiedersehen Pet is back in it, as is Rose's mother. And Big Ben gets destroyed (seen in the BBC ONE trailer). Concludes next week.
