Im sorry you can have a go at me say what you like. But I just couldn't take that ending seriously. I mean you haven't seen your grandchild you've only just heard about her and all off a sudden you just enter the house and say hey im your grandmother. I mean really. Also Masood admitted Shirleys a drunk and the less said about Dean the better. How can I take this seriously.

Hmm its a fictional program pal, i think most people including carers themselves have the brains to know the difference between reality and fiction. e

I hope foster carers keep their front gardens tidier than that hovel.

I know they did it to show it like the girl was not being treated well.

But having said that, it can be no worse than being dragged up by the Carters.

I didn't agree with Shirley barging into the house, but the cliffhanger was powerful.

Hmmm I know it is . But fictional programmes need to reflect reality and not make up rules as they go along

It's obvious that Jade has CF so that is another heap of misery that we have to look forward to.

Bloody hell.

It was pretty cringe worthy, ngl xD As if shirley and co would ever get custody of the child either considering their criminal records etc. Totally ridiculous, but no doubt next week she'll be living with them.

Well it sure isnt reality that a grandparent barges into a foster carers home and demands to see a child she doesnt know or has access to

Soaps are generally classified as "melodrama" where exaggerated, sensationalized, and overemotional behavior rules the day.

Yes but you clearly said that 'a fictional program need to reflect reality' as if its the law and that it should be enforced by you?

This, the families in EE are for the most part dreadful parents but for some reason they show harks on about the importance of family despite them all being awful.,

I don't understand what people expect from eastenders, I mean come on it is a SOAP....NOT a documentary.
What did you think was gonna happen, that masood and Shirley find their granddaughter and runaway into the sunset with her to live happily ever after!?!?!?!....sorry but I grew out of fairytales during primary school....I love this new twist to the tale.

Exactly. There must be a better way.

It is also to "redeem" Shirley, as she abandoned Jimbo when he needed her but she will be there for Jade. I don't think this is necessary at all. She has expressed enough regret for how she acted then. No need to bring in a sick or even dying child to make her look better. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

That ending with the little girl both shocked and saddened, i even googled it and once the pics came up, well it made me feel uncomfortable...eastenders hss guts to do a storyline like this and DLC did say that eastenders would return to its dark glory.
