We all know that Tracy lit the candle that caused the disastrous fire in Carla's flat.

Tracy seems on the face of it to be siding with everyone else in holding Carla responsible because she was pie-eyed that night. But surely she can remember entering what she believed to be an empty flat, lighting the candle to see by and standing over Carla with a heavy object with the intention of bashing out the poor girl's brains. When Carla stirred Tracy scampered off, putting the lighted candle down carelessly, where it was left to do its worst.

Records show that Tracy has no conscience, guilty or otherwise, having the unerring ability to believe that she's always either in the right or justified in her many subversive actions!

Is it possible, in spite of the fact that the fire department forensic people have concluded that the candle was at the seat of the fire, that maybe Tracy's guilt will come to light?

CCTV anyone?

I doubt it. We will be expected to sympathise with her when Deirdre dies.

Tracy didn't even pay her respects to Kal or Maddie, the former who saved her daughter.

Aargh, I hope so. Of all the many Corrie stories where the innocent are vilified and the criminal gets the sympathy, this one would be so irritating that ITV could be responsible for an outbreak of thrush among viewers.

Tracy will no doubt be found out.

There will be an outcry, she will be ostracized, and will lie low for about 4 months. She will then re-emerge and everybody will have forgotten about it.

Like they've forgotten she is already a convicted killer.

Yes sadly that will be about the size of it!!

Why then her sentence wasn't commuted to a shorter term for, say, manslaughter, I'm at pains to understand .. but then this is soapworld and things are done differently here!
