Is Soya bad for you?
its so confusing, from one person you hear how great it is for you, then you hear how bad it is, in the sporting world it seems to have a bad name now aswell.
though i did ask a personal trainer who is also a dietitian and they said there is no science behind saying its 'bad' for you. whats the truth?! does it have any bad effects on men or women. arent the Japanese one of the longest living nations, and they seem to have Soya everything the same way the british have dairy everything |

Soya is very, very bad for you.
I, personally, have never met a single Chinese person over the age of 130. And they eat it all the time. Genetically modified soya... well I've no idea... But all I know is this stuff literally kills Chinese people before they're even 130. |

I am using soya now because it helps with the menopause, if it helps with that I would be wondering what it did to me if I weren't perimenopausal. It seems to be working very well for me too.

Soya is good for you, but only organic soya beans. Soya that we have in the west is mostly GMO, and that is not good for you. If you can find soya that is truly organic, that's great but it's likely in the UK that you'll only find GMO soya byproducts.

It is bad from what i have read, something about it not being the natural fresh stuff the asians eat. In any case I would say don't make it your staple.

If you have thyroid issues it can interfere with thyroxine uptake. Lime most things, don't consume it in excess and if you have specific questions ask your doctor.

Soya contains estrogens. Not sure if the levels are significant enough to interfere with the hormones in human body. If it helps with a menopause then probably yes.

Do you have any evidence to support your claims?
