That is comment is both ignorant and probably racist too, please go back and to school.

This made me chuckle, but swiftly followed by a face-palm!

Some people's ignorance really is astounding though!

East Enders regardless of characters is not very good. They introduce diversity but the wrong type. Who wants to see a woman with her head covered. We see enough of diversity in real life without it thrust upon us every 5 minutes on TV.

Don't do that Scrabbs you can create whatever topic you want, it's a interesting discussion, some people find it uncomfortable but that's their problem, I think with all that been going on recently in relation to race discussion it's relevant.

I am glad. As soon as I saw the thread I knew it would lead to all sorts. I don't even watch EE but opened the thread. I like diversity but diversity with research. I think the diversity shown on TV is half baked and cause no end of problems.

From the top of my head.

Emmerdale has 1 asian family, Corrie has 1 Asian family and 3 black cast members, Hollyoaks has 1 black family, Eastenders has 5 black cast members, 1 asian family, obviously that includes singlur cast members as well.”

Emmerdale has 2 Asian families including mixed race.....Coronation street 'black' cast are mixed race and also with Tyrones daughter that is 4... and Corrie actually has 2 Asian familes....

Yes your correct, I forgot Dev and his kids and little ruby, Jason is mixed race, I wasn't sure about Luke and his sister, but most would probably say they're black instead of mixed race.

Emmerdale who else? I know the actress who plays Layla is Iranian but it was never said if she plays a mixed race character on screen, Rakesh and his son I would say is a extension of The Sharmas.

Because from the top of my head i was thinking east-asia i get abuse... Nice. Keep it going. Maybe i should of specificed NOT WHITE. Mixed is half black and the yellow from the others can often be overlooked. Such an over reaction. I never said entirely black (or not white a
Like i meant) in the first place.

Now you're digging yourself into a hole. Instead of taking the defense, maybe you should have apologised to those you might have offended. I think the main problem is that you seem to not know what you're talking about, which is why I suggested that you educate yourself. This is a sensitive subject to which people can become easily offended. So be more mindful.

Im sorry tk those offended but it was an innocent mistake.

Maybe i should become a punch bag and not defend myself. Even in real life i dont seem to have that right.

Either way just because i made the mistake is not a reason to critise me and hate on me after the first has pointed it out. I find it rude towards
Me makes me in a lose-lose sotuation becausw when i stand upmfor myself...it gets worse.

Wasn't offended at all, takes a lot for me to be offended, just thought it was funny really.
