EE: Struggling to care for Les and Pam

I think Pam could potentially be a great character as the unattached 'mum' of the square. Someone being there for everyone else to go to with her problems. A less Christian version of Dot and a less, um, slutty version of Pat and a cheerier version of Carol. Someone to be the square's 'shoulder to cry on', who everyone looks out for.

But Pam and Les seem to be very hammy, unconvincing and uninteresting. I don't think the actor who plays Les is a particularly good actor at all and I think Pam is being dragged down by him. I also don't really care about the affair, nor the fact Paul knows about it. I couldn't be less interested in the storyline.

I hope it ends quickly, Pam rids herself of Les and moves into the square with Paul and they become a mini-family on their own with Paul later on branching out.

Les is atrocious, I just can't take him seriously. I like Pam, and she should get rid of Les once the affair is exposed.

They need fleshing out as do a lot of the characters that were introduced around that time. Love Paul and his relationship with his nan.
