More of a storyline cash in rather than an attempt at a music career but pretty dire none the less https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1NhmOptFdvg

Embarrassing..it was the 90s

I recall Tracy Shaw had a crack at it in the late 90s.

Adam Rickitt's 'I Breath Again' has to take the cake though. Dire. Always gives me a good laugh

Not really forgotten but Samantha Womack (or Janus as she was back then) represented the UK at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest, although I'm sure she'd love to forget it. She came 10th out of 22 entries, which back then was a a very low placing for the UK considering the UK came 2nd 3 times during the 90s and won in 1997.....oh how things have changed.

It's clear Adam Rickitt's entire pop career was just an excuse for the record label and video directors to have him get his kit off.

Yep, he was basically a walking torso. Corrie got plenty of mileage out of his bod too.

CROSSROADS didn't do badly in its days......
Sue Nicholls (Marilyn.....todays Audrey in Corrie): "Where Will You Be"
Stephanie De Sykes (Holly Brown): "Born with a Smile on my Face" & "We'll Find our Day"
Kate Robbins (Kate Loring) : "More Than in Love"
Paul Henry (Benny) : "Benny's Theme" and a.n.other.ok they were duff - but Terry Wogan played them!
Simon May (writer of EastEnders Theme) did "Summer of My Life"
Plus Paul McCartney did the theme for a few years!

They basically hired him for the sex appeal, thats why they sacked Nick 1.0, even Adam admitted that.

I feel sorry for Jane Danson having the gorgeous Adam, then lumbered with Ben Price lol.

Would we lose anything of value if it was illegal for soap stars to move into music?

I remember that, they were called Girls@Play. The chorus started with "I've got the brains, he's got the looks/He watches TV, I read my books" - pretty much a song about a vain but brainless boyfriend.

In the video they all wore costumes to portray certain characters. Rita (Roxy) was a mechanic from what I remember.

Jonathan Ross showed her and Samantha clips of their singing careers. RIta looked well embarrassed lol.
