It's piss poor material compared to other things shes been in since leaving, the only thing I like about her is her friendliness and willing to help other people, and the mystery of the Key story, But there is nothing of the old Stacey Slater, she is too tooo helpful, she should never have been sharing scenes with Kush.

The New Martin reminds me of Bradley, So i'm hoping they will have Martin and Stacey as the next hit couple.

When I was watching EE on Friday evening, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I'd be really peeved if I was Lacey Turner. She's had success as an actress elsewhere, then returns to EE for what? She's being wasted, completely and I wouldn't be surprised if she walks soon. Unless they can give her some decent material to work with, sharpish.

It is such a shame Lacey is getting poor material, when she is brilliant. It seems like Stacey is going back to square one with an affair story. Lacey deserves better and I wouldn't blame her if she quit the show again.

I agree, although since that awful prison break storyline, I haven't been able to take Stacey seriously. She's been ruined along with many other greats.

DTC is a rubbish producer who ruins good characters.

Lacey asked to come back. They didn't seek her out for a return. She can hardly complain about the material when it was her desire to return. I agree she deserves to be given better storylines but I like the mature helpful new Stacey. I hated how she behaved in her previous stint. Sadly I think the old Stacey is about to return to wreck another relationship.

I think they're struggling with Stacey. I don't think they even know what Stacey's key is about.

Lacey Turner asked to come back to the show but I do hope she gets better storylines.

Gosh have some patience. Clearly the key storyline is a slow burner. They are playing a long game. Building some intrigue. We know that it has something to do with Brian, and since Jean is back in the summer, I'm sure it's about to be revisited. Why is everyone so desperate for everything to happen straight away.

As for this story with Kush, I'm not thrilled at the moment, but we don't know where it's heading. It could all be leading to an explosion of Stacey's loneliness, like she told Sean. She feels alone. This could just be a trigger for something bigger. We don't know.

Let's not start questioning Lacey's own personal choices when we basically know nothing. Stacey's return has been one of the best the show has ever handled, because she's come back and been integrated back into the community so seamlessly and has developed from a character who was exhausted and seeped in sensationalism to a realistic and mature young mother. She may not be fronting a massive blockbuster story right now, but since when was that a sign of a good character? They're playing the long game with Stacey.

She's on the slow burner but let's not forget the all important key! That's when her time to shine will come.

Of course it's down to opinion, but I would say the following characters have been ruined;

Kat
Alfie
Ronnie
Roxy
Shirley
Masood

Even now I'm still surprised she requested to come back and not stuck at it.

I wonder why she even asked to come back. She was hardly out of work.

How are Sharon, Kat, Ronnie and Masood ruined?

I enjoyed Stacey's return episodes.

Sharon is repeatedly being built up to look like she is developing as a character only to have Phil walk all over her.

Kat was reverted back to DurtyGurl Kat for no reason. Endless misery and then an artificial happy ending.

Ronnie is stuck in the Charlie/Roxy roundabout. Which is severely damaging her character.

Masood seems to have adopted a whole new personality. There's no way he would have reacted to Shabnam and Kush they way he did. There's also no way he would have reacted the way he is in this Jade storyline.

My opinion.

When I heard Lacey Turner was returning in December 2013, I was SO happy. That's what got me really into EastEnders again. What a disappointment it has been so far. The only return that's really been a success IMO, is Jane.

I enjoy Stacey and Kush as a couple. It's a pity it's another affair, but I don't think he and Shabnam are suited.

God no, goody two shoes Stacey is just like watching another Nancy. (Not good!)

Then again, if all the old Stacey is going to do is steel men, then that's not great either.

I likr stacey and the agony aunt type character as itnshows how kich shes grown up since leaving.

I dont like this love square at all.

Look forward to Jean returning and the key mystery, so Lacey has more material.

Remember when it was The Stacey Show and everyone complained? Then she returns and she might as well not be there. Is there no happy medium? She doesn't need to take over the show again but she also doesn't need to be a spare part. So poorly used.
