To be fair to Emma I thought she was saying that AS a fan rather than poking the audience with a stick. Maybe not the wisest comment to make.

Maybe we should ask nicki to sweet talk the producer's into giving us live feed surely after listening to her for 20 mins would do the job.

Getting hellen on board would give it more of a chance she clearly has something on someone at C5/endemol.

You'll have to make do with 10 minutes 'highlights' tomorrow night.

The problem is that they hype things like this up as an event, and call it a live show.
But they don't deliver. They just finish on a note which teases us with more hype.

I think this will definitely put some viewers off.
If you hype something up as live event television you just simply have to deliver. Not just continually tease us with even more hype.
I think most people would have been quite content with even just half an hour of live from the house.

Emma being live in the studio doesn't quite deliver the promise of a live show.
Technically they can describe it as live, but if the viewer feels cheated then it's the show's fault if they drive viewers away for failing to live up to their own hype.

I think you may be right. She must want to move on now.

I watch in disbelief, the bigger the promised twist, the more pathetic the whole thing is.

Live feed, but constant not interfered with LF could fix this, but ch 5 won't pay for it.

Emma knows this is the answer and as she bows out, is giving the producers her view of what is needed.

A complete change is required, finally.

That's how I took it to mean as well.
It would be extremely unfair to her if she was speaking as a fan there.
Blaming Emma would be very silly in this case if it's BB who they should be complaining about if they haven't got their live feed.

Who do they have to pay?
They already have live feeds from which they get their edited highlights from.
They already have timeslots allocated for BB related shows. For example we could have had an hour of live feed in last night's show. We could have had live feeds during the hour and a half episodes of BOTS.

It seems more like pig-headed stubbornness to me. As if BB have a point to prove to viewers that they can do what they want and will not give in.

It's almost as if BB have somehow managed to design the perfect format which is guaranteed to piss people off and alienate them, rather than design a programme schedule which encourages viewers to want to watch it.

If you hype a show up and don't deliver on that promise, then rest assured that any new viewers won't be tuning in again.

If during a series of BB there are key points in the schedule which are hyped as event television moments, then it should be a given that there will be a live feed scheduled for those respective nights.
They can't just not bother, and think viewers will be happy enough with Twitter updates. But for some reason they think that's good enough.

Without Live feed its not the same

The viewers are constantly treated with contempt by the Producers, of course they should have had LF last night, they could have used the pointless half an hour they give us on a Friday night, if they are penny pinching.

They did not need a constant stream of "guests", we know what the ex HM's were like, we watched it ourselves, and 2 of them on LF!.

I did have to laugh last night because I don't know about anyone else, Sunday night always feels odd for me going in to a new week so Channel 5 after this episode show a repeat of the "ABBA Years". I laugh at the irony. Could you imagine the controllers of the BBC channels doing this? They'd be sacked pretty quick.

why they didn't do this live event tonight i can't imagine
they could have added live feed and BOTS straight after the show
for me its time Frow and Smith went

Emma is a fan of the show so I think she was being genuine and not poking fun at the viewers then.

I didn't see her comment as anything other than a "Bloody hell ! Where's live feed when you need it ?!" kind of thing. As I'm sure most fans were thinking the same thing.

I'm surprised to read on here that it's been construed as an insult.

If Emma is that bothered she could try and put pressure on the producers. If you go back to C4 days she must be one of the longest to have worked on the show in front or behind.

I don't think Emma holds any sway with producers. They're not going to reinstate live feed on her say so. Ultimately they will do just whatever they see fit, weather her or the viewers like it.

You could tell she didn't want to stop hosting BBOTS, but she was moved to just doing the main show anyway.

Emma is just a presenter, I don't think she has any influence in the production side.

Well not so much "i want you to do this" but you could chat, try and influence. She'll be friends with them at least, her own producer and team. Maybe I am expecting too much

We need a Malcolm Tucker type person to come in behind the scenes and shake it up.
