Linda Robson would be great in ee
If you dont know who she is, she's on loose woman and played Tracey in birds of a feather.
She would come in part of a brand new family who have some kinda connection with another family on the square, this will give them instant interaction. Its time for a new family, its gone a bit stale. |

I think it will improve come Autumn though. It always does. Or we'll have an explosive 2016, maybe?

There were rumours that Linda Robson was being lined up to play Ronnie and Roxy's mother. I can't see it, myself.

She is an awful actress though? She can do very light hearted sort of ok, Anything serious and she is terrible
Watch Birds of a feather when there is a crying or act sad scene and she is appalling |

With Linda in the role I think we'd get more of a down to earth mumsy vibe from her. Not sure which I'd prefer to be honest! I liked Glenda but felt that she didn't really work as the mother of Ronnie and Roxy or as the ex wife of Archie, particularly when he then moved on to Peggy!!!!!!

Was that before they cast Glynis Barber as Glenda? Linda's Glenda would have made the character completely different. Glynis is pretty glam, still has her youthful looks and played Glenda as flighty and easy going yet manipulative and bitchy.

She was in the EastEnders war time spin off "Civvy Street" years ago (essentially EastEnders during the war)

I disagree, I saw her in a play and she was excellent, she is an actress of good quality.
I have to say that I agree that I don't think she has a decent range as an actress, her dramatic performances were woeful in my opinion. There is no denying she and Pauline Quirke had chemistry, that's what made BOAF so watchable back in the day. If she was ever given a role in EE, something I find unlikely I would give her a chance like any other actor, I would just hope she delivers better than her stint in the bill which was just awful. |

Acting on stage in a play where you get plenty of rehearsal time and giving the same performance every night actually takes different skill sets to acting in a soap. Just because you are good at one doesn't necessarily mean you will be good at the other.
