.....IMO the shitest one so far of this already getting ridiculous and recycling plots emanating from the DTC team!😠

WTF is Masood playing at , really hate him right now. And Shirley is such an idiot as usual, reacting w/o the brain function as usual.

And why the hell are the brainless Carters doing still B&B when they always seem to be flashing money right left and centre???

Damn!!

What do you think?

I think it could be a brilliant storyline. It offers so many different things, imo.

We are seeing a new side to Masood - a more complex, flawed and interesting side, we could see some progression from Shirley as she faces her demons 're Jimbo with Jade having CF and then there is Shabnam's reaction to her daughter being found against her wishes and brought back into her life.

Masood is desperate to meet his grandchild and doing what he thinks is his only option to know his her. Shirley initially decided not to visit Jade but Masood emotionally, for better word, manipulated Shirley into going. Better the devil you know, as they say.

I would like to see both families come together and form an alliance and bond over Jade. I don't want to see them pitted against each other, I enjoyed the scenes between Shirley and Masood and hope that is built upon.

But most importantly it offers a platform in which to explore Cystic Fibrosis and raise awareness. I am hoping that they don't 'kill' Jade off, and that she becomes a new child character where they can explore CF properly.

EastEnders are working closely with the CFT which is good, and although it is rare that Shabnam would have the CF gene, it's not implausible - it does happen.

I don't see why so many people on here (various other social media/comments under articles are all for it) are against it, and writing it off before it has even started.

If nothing happens between Carol/Buster (which I hope not) then I would like to see Buster and Shirley get their own place - however I love the scenes between the former two characters and the Fox/Trueman clan/Vincent.

I'm enjoying it, despite the unrealistic moments. Anything that gives the Masoods, more screentime, is fine by me.

I love it. Linda and Nitin are two of my favourite actors and I enjoy their characters. I'm not much of a fan of Shab but the s/l itself is interesting.

Agreed.

It seems every character involved has had a personality transplant in order to facilitate this story. It also comes across as very insincere the way they have once again latched onto a charity to "help raise awareness" .

He is a brilliant actor. I love the flawed, complex side of Masood. I hope we see more of dark Masood.

I like the storyline so far. It's a good mix of characters we normally don't see together, and I always love seeing more of Masood family. Granted, there are other storylines going on now that started off brilliantly and then got weird, but I hope we'll see good stuff to the end of this one.

I like dark Masood, but I like this side of him too. He's come in for a lot of criticism for wanting to get close to his granddaughter, but I think that's unfair. I have grandchildren myself, and if I found out that I had another out there caught up in the 'system' I'd do all I could to find out that they were OK and get in touch. I would stop short of kidnapping though, probably.

I genuinely believe that Masood is trying to bring Jade into their lives because he feels it is best for Shabnam. Obviously having Jade and abandoning her did a number on Shabnam and she's never really recovered. She's been trying to distract and disguise herself with other things (doing Hajj, living in Pakistan, taking the veil and becoming a more devout Muslim, returning to the Square to help Masood, now preparing for her wedding) since that time to try and forget Jade. Although his efforts are misguided, I think Masood believes that if he forces Shabnam to acknowledge Jade and deal with her feelings about it, he is both helping Shabnam and bringing his granddaughter back into the family in some way.

Good point. I never looked at it from that angle.

They can't win at all. When they give the Masoods a decent storyline and relate it to past events they are accused of being boring.

I'm really enjoying the interaction between Masood and Shirley so far also. I would like to see them form some kind of alliance.

I get the feeling Dean is going to snatch Jade on her way home from school, be unable to cope with her illness and will abandon her alone in his panic. Or she might even die while he is holding her against her will.

I think we're going to see Dean come full circle and, having spent his whole life blaming all his mistakes and poor choices on Shirley leaving because of Jimbo's illness, will in turn leave his own child as soon as he realises she has the same illness Jimbo had. Thus turning him into the King of EE Douchebags.
