I'd assume it will be the same as disc versions of Xbox One games where you till have to insert the disc when playing a game even though it's downloaded to the console.

I tried it then realised I'm not in the preview, didn't realise I had to be a special member. Ah well I'll have to wait to play Viva Pinata again.

Wow Xbox 360 backwards compatibility sounds v good. Two questions:
1. Will this include multiplayer? (Hope so!) 2. If it does then is it on Xbox one servers or on Xbox 360 servers? (sorry if silly question) |

You can vote for what game you want to come next on the official xbox site.
officialhttps://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503-backwards-compatibility Red dead is currently the most popular. |

I would just like to say, to those 'holier than thou' gamers, who poo poo'd my comments about backwards compatibility a year ago, please go and stick it. What you think you know is in fact that YOU KNOW NOTHING.
As evidenced by the recent news. "You can't emulate last gen games, there's not enough power" "The architecture is completely different, the games won't work" You talk rubbish. |

It's not instant. Expect a PM on your xbox one in a few days, there have been cases of people not getting in despite numerous invites, so don't get your hopes up too high.

For those not in the preview program, there is a potential workaround of sorts. It's kinda contrived, but it should work.
Check out your friends list and if you can find someone that has been playing a 360 game on their Xbox One you should be able to select that game on their profile, and then download and play that BC file as long as you own it yourself. I can't try it out personally as I'm already in the program, but perhaps someone else can give it a go. |

My console shows Zuma as available to download, so looks like more games are being added.

Bit of a long shot... long time lurker but not poster. is there any chance someone could add an invite to the preview program for me... spookyclown is my tag.
SWMBO is moaning about the number of consoles in the house and showing that we maybe able to get rid of the two 360s would help keep the peace ![]() Thanks |
