Helen got it wrong either deliberately or she didn't listen correctly.

No, she said she was surprised that a 46 year old man living on his own didn't know how to wash his own clothes.

I can't bloody stand either of them but, yeah, you've got it exactly right. Helen was wrong about Simon starting the interaction; she wasn't wrong, however, about Harry using this as a perfect excuse to start up another Simon bitching session.

All I get from this is Helen is still a skanky whore and Simon believes women are his subordinates for the menial tasks.

I wonder would she say that to her dad if he was on his own.

Pretty much except I thought, with regard to your bib, she said that a 46-year-old man should be able to or know how to do his own (cause she said he said he didn't know how to). That led to somebody (her or Chloe?) saying that a man who has lived on his own being his age not having learned to do it himself was odd.

A 46 year old can learn to do his own washing . perhaps that could be Simon's mission while in there.

So why didnt she just say "no do your own" cos that is exactly what she wanted to say. She stood at the sink while Helen was telling Danny what she said, now if she wasnt lying why didnt she go over to Helen and call her a liar, cos she knew Helen was speaking the truth.

As for a 46 yr old doing their own washing in there to please you, wellim gonna lmao at that.

I just remembered that one of helens traits is that she hears what she wants to hear.

I remember last series she overheard people saying nice stuff about her, but she only paid attention to one small negative thing they said and she went crazy.

Yeah that's what I basically meant.

Why did she accept to do his though if she was going to bitch about it later? And why offer to do everyone elses afterwards? It doesn't make sense.

This is how it went.

Harry is doing some washing.
Simon says, can you do mine for me, I don't know how to do it.
Harry is surprised but agrees to help him out anyway, a kind gesture.
She decides to ask if anyone else wants it doing while she is at it.
She does do Simons washing for him.

Later, in conversation with Chloe on the couch, she simply states that the reason she asked people if they wanted washing doing was because she had said she would do Simons because he said he didn't know how....
Chloe says its a bit odd considering he is older and lives alone.
Its not bitching or resented, just a conversation.

This is the part Helen hears though and turns it into...
Harry offered to do washing for everyone in the house except Simon because he is older and should know how to do it by his age.

Helen is also the one to go on and say that Harry was later calling him and bitching about it on the couch - which in reality was just a chat about a valid subject.

Not a response to what I said -
And Harry did his washing ,

he doesn't and cant do it at home , there's the point .

No- she merely said she was shocked that a 46 year old couldn't do his own washing- I would have said exactly the same and so would 99% of people I'd imagine. I'm so fed up with the demonisation of Harry.

The point is most people have washing machines so i cant blame him for not being able to do it.

The general complaint is also fair - some of the HMs heap shit on Showbiz at every opportunity.”

That's how I saw it.

The part you missed is when others joined in. The phrase "46-year-old man" was banded around multiple times by various HMs during that discussion. It was a fairly transparent attempt by Jack and co. to ride the back of any minor gripe and use it to communicate who this week's scapegoat will be. If she had the wherewithal Harry could have distanced herself from the bitching, as her original point was quite valid but entirely unnecessary to share with the group who had already targeted Simon.

In any case, I thought the nomination was something the four of them agreed on, rather than just Helen giving her own reasons.

Hooray! I get to do another transcript!

Right here it is. This is the entire scene (minus the interjections in the bunker room). Its actually very short given all the fuss!

PIEFACE: I can’t… I can’t… I can’t… I can’t keep reassuring a 46 year old man, I think I’ve given up with it. Like, literally, I struggle to… I can see he’s made a positive change but I’m struggling to take care of a 46 year old man with everything. “I this” “I that” he keeps talking to me about the ****ing ninja thing. He won’t stop bringing it up.

HARRY: Jack, before I offered to do everybodies washing – the reason I offered to do everybodies washing was because he came in and he said, “Harry, can you do my washing for me please because I can’t do it.”

PIEFACE: (TUTS)

HARRY: And I don’t mind. I like doing everybodies washing. But the fact a 46 year old man who lives by himself is asking me to do it is very concerning. He actually sorted all his pile of washing, had it on his bed and said, “Harry do you mind? Can you do my washing for me? I can’t do it.”

CHLOE: Did you do it?

HARRY: Well yeah. That’s the reason why I went round and asked if everybody else wanted it doing.

But what was wrong with that? Even if Simon had never washed his clothes before going into the house, he should have learned. He knew in advance that there is no laundly service in the house. Surely Harry asked the others if they wanted any washing doing as she was already going to do it ofr Simon. So she was quite right to mention Simon. Simon specifically asked her to do his. the others simply took up her offer

Not so odd. I suppose Simon, like most people, has an automatic washing machine at home. The BB house doesn't and the only way HMs have to wash is by hand. I suggest most people nowadays aren't used to doing that.

If 19 year olds can learn, so can he.

So a normal conversation : a legitimate concern.

I have to wonder since so many are so convinced that Harry is so awful to Simon how he had the cheek to ask her to do his washing and how shocking that Harry who's just awful to Simon actually did it. THE BITCH! How dare that bitch be concerned for the old man who can't take care of himself, the guy who has lived half his life already, asking her for help and OMG getting it.

I think so many people have such an irrational hatred for Harry, who, as yet, has not done anything that wrong. Many even want to put Simon out there as some innocent 'victim' with Harry as his tormentor
I can only conclude that they believe everything Marc says i.e. 'Simon's good and Harry's bad'
Here is an early task of Simon trying to manipulate someone in to doing his washing and planning to be 'irritating' (his words)
