seriously its absolutely shocking, Stacey involved in another affair surprise surprise. its been so bad ever since live week, its as if dtc put everything into that storyline and forgot about the rest of the year, and the aftermath to the live reveal made the whole thing not even worth killing off lucy!

Bit melodramatic! I'm finding it a bit bland at the mo and the over-reliance on love triangles is irritating, but it's not toe-curlingly awful. It's been worse. Far worse.

I've just watched Friday 17th July 2015, and it was absolutely terrible.

The main production staff are all young people, and a very large number of them have never lived in a typical match to the area in the programmes.

They just assume that EVERYONE will be big fans! Oh, how wrong!

I've watched it since episode one, and it used to be kept to a particularly even script pattern.

Now it's a 'how can we terrify everybody' system of writing. There is no even planning or production method now.

It's pretty obvious that the 'producer' now has absolutely no idea of drama, and just keeps on making the programme very unreliable.

Perhaps he should be changed for someone who has done this type of programme for many years. But we all know that will never happen. They are all so self-protective that they ignore what the viewers thoughts are.

I'm enjoying it right now. Lots of interesting storylines going on.

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, if you don't like it then don't watch it and then you won't have to complain!

Not a fan of the whole Stacey and Kush thing but everything else is fine to me.

Needs more Ronnie though.

Tonight was excellent. I've enjoyed the last few weeks though too as I like the Masood stuff.

Top notch tonight though with both the Beales and Mitchells

Its not at is best Eastenders at the moment but it is far from its worst either. I like hope the op just mentions one storyline, as this is some kind of proof that its the worst its been but their is loads of other storylines at the moment. Lucys murder, nancies epilepsy, lees depression, the cistic virbrosis storyline, to name but a few. Affairs are always going on in soaps and the Stacey one is far from the worst weve had, who shagged Kat springs to mind for that. Also Summer is traditionally a quiter time but some of the ongoing storylines are worth watching now as they will climax latter in the year, especially when Kathy returns.

Pretty much agree. On par with the Newman era.

The Newman era may have been like watching paint dry and the Kirkwood era may have destroyed the show long term, but at least most of their work actually made sense and they didn't just make it up as they go along. Now, literally everything feels out of place, with random storylines just popping in and out, and a bunch of characters who don't really fit in at all.

Started to enjoy it more again over the past couple of weeks, but Jane at the end of tonight's episode was ridiculous. The old Jane would never even think about framing Ben, and I'm annoyed as Ian & Jane are two of my favourite characters.

The old jane didn't have a murderous son to protect.....situation.s change people...just as people in real life change so can soap characters depending on the situations....You'd be surprised the things people would do in desperation

I said the exact same about Jane.

However, her framing Ben crosses the line. I just hope Ian doesn't go through with it. He is so protective over his brother and there is no way he'd frame him for murder. It's a difficult situation, but it's way too risky as it could make Ian & Jane extremely unlikeable!

I've really got to wonder if BK did these storylines, ie banging in the same room with a corpse, the poor widdle rapist, Stacey having an affair and getting pregnant for the 10000 time,
people would be calling for his head

Yeah I do agree....Although what jane is suggesting is a realistic bit of irrational thinking doesn't mean I like her for it. I think you're right about Ian, there is no way he'd go through with it...I think that's where the story is going, Ian will try to find an alternative solution.

Am enjoying it at the mo, dont mind the Stacey and Kush story. Don't enjoy NuMartin. Enjoying the Lee story, Nancy a bit annoying, Bobby Beale very annoying but everyone else is ok.

Miles away from the bad years of Kirkwood and Newman, I mean have we forgotten who shagged Kat? and Yusef panto villian drugging Zainab....? THAT was bad lol

Saying it's the worst ever is completely wrong

Watch 2004-2006 and 12-14 and you'll notice how bad it was then
