They all jump down Simon's throat when he says anything.

When Jack was shouting at him (again) and Simon was telling Jack to stop it, Danny and others were telling to stop talking too....very annoying.

Pack mentality.

They were probably angry as Helen was lying and they wanted to tell Simon the truth about what Harry had said

This.

And Simon wasn't letting Jack explain what he meant, anyway.

Well he could have spoke the truth and been honest about him asking Harry to do his washing ...then they might listen .

I bet he's just loved someone standing up for him!! I know with certain things he has not helped himself but the way he is treated is disgusting and horrible

He has as much right to be there as anyone, he deserves more respect.

Spot on. No matter who's right or wrong the fence sitters always turn on the weaker individuals e.g Simon during an argument and give him verbal. When fat arnold was shouting tonight anyone impartial and listening would have told him to pipe down. He was the one making all the noise.

Whatever Simon is or isn't or has or hasn't done, Jack especially treats him very badly.

I can't really defend some of the things Simon did and said early on, but Jack is horrible to him whenever he gets the chance and usually Simon just takes it. It was nice to see him bite back a little tonight when the yapper was having yet another go shouting him down. It was also nice to see Marq happy to see Simon when he returned, too. Simon's clearly in love with him though, so that will end in tears - well... not actual tears, this is Simon we're talking about.

What's hilarious is everyone's jumping to Harry's defence as she's talked down by Marc and isolated. If anyone is suppressed and pushed out it's Simon. I feel for the guy, they're like a pack of wolves at times, now that is uncomfortable on a continuous basis. Simon tries to interact and change, Harry creates her own drama and removes herself. I'm glad marcs back to support him, he looked so relieved.

Said the same thing in another thread. He's been getting pelters since he walked in the door by the whole group(apart from Marc) The man could do no right. Harry was moaning and groaning about him once again on the sofa while he was in the diary room for absolutely no other reason than to keep the fire burning just before the return of Marc. If the altercations had been physical, she is the one who would not have been happy until they kicked the last breath out of him. I'd say it's pretty much been a walk in the park compared to what she among others put Simon through. At least she has most of the house there to speak to and fight her corner.

I'm amazed to find such support for Simon in this thread. This is a man consumed by self-love and self-pity, who is trying to manipulate the feelings of the entire community of BB fans with his tearless crying in the diary room. This is a man who is completely unable to relate to most of the people around him and doesn't show any sign of genuinely liking anybody except Marc. This is a man whose world, apparently, had fallen apart because his beloved Marc had left. There was NO sign that he intended to become closer to the other HMs or try to arrive at a closer mutual understanding with them.

Exactly

Fms say Jack got off lightly in the ninja task and that it'd be a free for all had Simon been as obvious. Yet on here Simon is disliked so the ill treatment gets ilov looked (plus he's a bloke) compared to Harry who self isolates herself for one evening yet receives overall sympathy.

It seems to be human nature when people are in a group, and they are finding some sort of pecking order, it is a comfort to them to pick on who they think is the weakest , and then focus all the attention on them -they then divert any attention away from any faults they may have. One or two in the group then realise how bad they are being and stick by the underdog........ if someone further up the pecking order then defends the underdog, then the underdog gets status from them and then rises up and gets a more dominent role. At least that is what I have experienced in a group.

Self love and pity.....are you not also referring to Harry? also tries to manipulate the viewers and the hms, and is prone to emotional strops. Also as expressed she is cold to others particularly her opinions regarding Nick privately whilst in the DR. Also Marc is a stable support base for Simon why wouldn't he be thrown by his sudden departure, would Harry not be upset if her crutch ie Nick was evicted? She'd have no continuing role in the house as she currently spends most of her time with Nick alone. Therefore she's not exactly trying to make friends within the house herself......why would she make a beeline just for Nick and feel confident that her one alliance would guarantee her survival within the house?

Simon is rather loving all the new found love and attention he's getting.

He is a me, me, me character. Ironically he did seem to be getting along a bit better with everyone and seemed to be growing on them all (a little). The return of Marc and the bunker crew have led him to believe that he was being unfairly picked on.

TBH - I don't hate him but I get the impression that he's not a very nice person. No one on BOTS has a good word to say about him - I think their brief 'dealings' with him earlier on has left a lasting impression.

I think the bunker crew have very self righteously sat bitching (often very nastily) about the HM's and have decided to support the 'underdog' - they're not even vaguely interested in why he's the house underdog - they just feel very self righteous and gallant in doing so,
