In the news clip on BOTS we see Cristian venting to Danny his frustration at having been accused of bitching about Marc. Danny says, "don't worry, we all know you didn't say anything about him" (those last two words are hard to pick up in the video). Seems pretty supportive.

However, in another clip on the website, Marc asks Danny if Cristian is still unhappy and Danny says, "you know what he's like, he takes everything to heart".

Is Danny just trying to keep the peace and smooth things over? Or is he being more calculated and duplicitous and attempting to stay out of Marc's firing line.

I can't work him out.

I think it's too early to call Danny. He has potential yet to really make a difference in the house. He is definitely playing cautious when it comes to Marc but based on how Harry's situation in the house is going---that might be a smart thing. Let's wait and see.

I did like the way he sought out Harry and insisted on going into the bathroom to see if she was okay.

I liked Danny for the first time tonight.

In the garden when Helen and Mark were giving it all to Nick about Harry Danny stood the ground to the point where he said out loud to Nick (for them to hear) 'don't be intimidated by what they are saying. Stick up for yourself'

I thought that he did well tonight. Only person to properly stick up for Harry.

No wonder Harry doesn't really like Nick to fancy cos he is a weak snake in the grass that has no balls. Says he likes her yet allows a right bitch and arsehole to speak really badly about her.

Horrible. Good on Danny

Yes. He might have won it last night.

I'm liking him more and more. He's grown on me a lot since the beginning, where he was easily among my least favourites.

How long does he need. He's been in there 24/7 for weeks. He must be a world record holder in the slow burner category if what you say is true.
My opinion is that he could die of old age in there and we'd still have seen nothing new from him.

I wish Danny had kept up his 'What does it matter to you?' tirade to Marc and Helen when they were constantly bitching about Harry and Nick's relationship. But he suddenly stopped. He could have made a name for himself there, but he obviously doesn't want to be nominated.

I agree

Nick's just young and not mature enough to get involved.

I have liked Danny from the beginning to me he is being like a big brother to all of them but you can see he doesnt like shouting to put his point across like most of them in there. He has a very caring nature which is really nice to watch.

I liked him at first but as time has gone on its clear he is in control of the house. The problem comes from the fact that he has no personality in there because of the bigger characters. He is an all round nice guy but in order to shine he has to pull the others back, don't do this, don't do that. Danny needs to go so the house can come alive.

What's wrong with being a peacemaker? He's a good person, and id rather watch that than fights.

I think it's so bad how people get overanalysed, even scrutinised, for trying to remain level. He's done nothing wrong

Danny does try, but he's just not articulate enough to get his points across. With people in the house who thrive on arguments he doesn't always come across well, I just don't think it's his thing.

Yes. Let's have a house full of peacemakers. What a riveting series that would be.

A house full - no, but doesn't every BB house need one person inclined towards peace-keeping, or else it'd be all-out anarchy.

ETA: A house full of peace-keepers would be dull, but a house full to the brim of argumentative, shouty aggressive housemates is just as dull. Variety is the key.

Who said anything about a house full of peacemakers. Itīs not either the one or the other, why canīt we have both? Like every good movie has a Villain AND hero in it.

Danny's a complete idiot. Criticising Sam for apparently wanting to be famous, when he himself has been on a number of other tv shows. When the secret lair twist was revealed he stood there acting all high and mighty, yet as soon as the legends walked through the door he's kissing their backsides, and saying to Helen "We needed this to liven it up". He was sitting there watching the tv screen and holding Jack's hand, it was pathetic.

But if push came to shove, would you rather a watch a movie entirely about heroes or entirely about villains?

Circular argument. If everyone were a peacemaker, you wouldn't need a houseful. Or even one.
