Endless sophistry and confusion result from the coincidence that "game show" and "game player" both have the word "game" in them. If we said "mendacious manipulator" or "contrived fake", for example, instead of "game player", would people be arguing that such things must be ok because BB's a game show? No.

That effing word. You will know a bully when you meet one. It makeseme disgusted that Marc is being called a bully. I know what bullying is.

I've met bullies, and I think Marc is one.

Leaving my own personal opinions aside, there are different ways for playing the BB game, depending on each country's rules. I agree Mark is likely to have a bigger chance of winning BBUSA, because everything is conducted within the house. No public vote. No contact with the outside world. Whereas with the UK version, the public vote angle makes the game more of a popularity contest.

Different characters have won the show, so I don't think there's a right or wrong way to play the game. But it's how the HMs choose to play the game that will alter the public's perception of them. So obviously this will come down to the majority of the public. And then it's our turn to play the game, and how we choose to play it to alter the outcome.

My question is how would each of you want to play the BB game?

Why are you getting so defensive about it?”

He has been a lot quieter since he came back and they have already nominated him and, as they thought, got him out. If the rest of them are that easily intimidated then they should have stayed home with their mummies.

I think he is not a bully, and as I said in another post those who suffer from real bullying are being undermined by people throwing the word around willy nilly because they dislike a housemate in a game show.
People really need to get some sense of perspective and cop on .

Perhaps they thought it might be a game about living together - doing tasks to earn their food and having a bit of a laugh.

It is a game - they all play to win - but does it have to be spiteful, argumentative and have bullies taking part.

A few of them have commented that they haven't felt able to speak or say things they want to - they have spoken about sleeping with one eye open. I think that equates to a certain degree of bullying behaviour going on.

I don't think it's a case of people being easily intimidated and should have stayed home with their mummies - I think they probably expected a more pleasant experience.

Real bullying can take a variety of different forms.

I've disliked many HMs over the years without calling them bullies. When I say I think a HM is a bully, it's because of how they've behaved, not because I dislike them.

Exactly.

I don't care if this is a game show. I find Marc to be one of the most unlikeable, detestable HMs of all time. Part of "playing the game" is having the public on your side too which Marc hasn't done a very good job of.
