Just checking the odds this morning and Joel is continually closing in on Marc to become the new favourite:

http://www.oddschecker.com/tv/big-brother/winner

He was around 4th/5th favourite towards the beginning of last week and has shortened a huge amount since then.

I reckon if the whole Helen things/ nomming continues to have a negative affect, Joel will probably be the new favourite in the next day or so

I do hope so.

It will flip on betfair today I think and Joel will become favourite. I got him at 16/1 so I hope he does win. He is one of my favourites as well so double bonus.

Come on, Joel!

The thought of him winning did cross my mind last night. Inoffensive and concise, as well as entertaining, I think it's hugely likely he will make f2.

Good Lord I hope not. He's an insufferable little know all. Cannot stand him

You woke up the Potterhead in me, by sounding like Snape amused me, despite not agreeing ha

Why do you care who is the bookies favourite this far from the final?

If Joel makes it to the final I think he's won. Never underestimate the Welsh vote. See Rachel Rice and Sam Evans.

Awful sanctimonious bellend. No entertainment what so ever. Might as well vote for a ventriloquists dummy which uncannily he resembles.

I've supported him since day one, he isn't afraid to speak his mind. Nominates honestly and gives all in tasks. Gets involved in the silliness whenever it happens and has a quirky funny turn of phrase.

He has entertained me without going out of his way to shout at people or create a showmance.

- For me it's him or Jade to win.

Ah yes, the HM who pisses in the sink and got Aaron thrown out, a worthy competitor for Marc.

I like him despite the Toryboy bit. I agree with every word Littlgreen said up there^^^.

He's a class act that will be difficult to beat.

yes people will likely go for his plastic political persona especially now that he will attach himself to Marc and gain many of his supported when he is evicted.

i think most people would agree politicians are practiced and experienced at manipulating the public.

There's a hell of a long way to go yet. Gone are the days when someone would become favourite to win and be able to hold the public's attention for weeks on end. These days the favourite changes every couple of weeks. Jack was favourite at the start...was obvious to anyone with an ounce of sense he would never win. Marc has been favourite...again, nobody in their right mind could seriously think that a character with his personality could hold onto the public right up until the final. Then there's also been Nick...he peaked early on and ruined things for himself by getting involved with Harry. Joel is definitely in with a shot, but it's still way too early. Personally, I think Jade or Cristian will win.

You forgot his other great attributes. Pissing in the sink and pissing the bed. Lovely boy.

Yeh yeh yeh

He was second from bottom a couple of weeks ago and favourite to go against Eileen...

I think the public have realised he is the most honest (sometimes brutally) one in there, but manages to maintain a humour with it.

Do you know why this happened? No.

We were talking about this the other day, it's possible he may have a weak bladder.

(and to judge a person because they pee in a sink... )

Oh yes, angelic Marc who thinks its ok to parade in tinfoil and get off of winding people up, and being an all round aggressive twerp... He needs to GO!

And we clearly saw Joel being devastated that Aaron went. There wasn't malice there at all, so don't give me that one.

I have to say I wouldn't mind Joel winning. I went off him a bit a couple of weeks ago but find myself liking him again. He seems to be the most honest person in there. He is not afraid to say what he thinks (without being mean or spiteful ) and is generally not two faced.
