Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora for The X Factor

I think both will bring some fresh blood to a rather stale judging panel.

Nick will see this as his prime time TV crossover. I wouldn't be surprised if his radio days are numbered.

I think it's a mistake for Rita though. People will just see her as a TV judge. Her music career is hanging on a shaky nail as it is. Personally, I think she should concentrate on that.

No. Just no. I really cannot abide Nick Grimshaw!

Rita I'd just started warming too so we'll see.

I genuinely have no idea what the hell they are thinking with these two! I actually want Louis back!

Louis not being part if TXF is the best thing about it. He is awful.

I agree he's dreadful but i'd rather him than these pair.

Rita seems more the type to just want maximum exposure and be a big name celebrity rather than an actual artist, so I don't think she'd be bothered about becoming more known as a "celeb" than an artist.

I wouldn't say she's on shaky ground though (and I'm not even a fan). Her last solo song went to number one, Poison is yet to be released, she's done a few collabs and seems to get invited to all the A-List events. Somehow she's becoming quite a big celebrity.

Proof that the producers don't read the DS forums.

LOL

Rita Ora will probably class Poison as a "buzz" single when it fails to go to #1 upon its release. The fact it's her worst single to date is another matter.

So Rita is looking set to be the next Cheryl using her position on The X Factor to help promote a new single in the autumn with an X Factor performance which in turns goes to #1 and Simon will take full responsibility claiming he saved her career.

Nick Grimshaw? Well, I really do wonder how popular he is. I think he's one of those people who only appeal to teenagers with a terrible sense of humour. The thought of him judging singers reminds me of when Neil Fox was judging singers on Pop Idol. I.e. the least relevant judge and just there to make up the numbers.

I swear absolutely nobody seems to have a good word to say about Nick Grimshaw - including myself - I think he's absolutely terrible.

Which is why it baffles me so much that he gets fawned over so excessively by the powers that be. He's crap on the radio and he's crap on the telly.

The TFI Friday thread nearly went into meltdown when Chris Evans suggested him as a replacement host. No, just NO!

That's what makes it so good. He has no idea what he is talking about, yet everyone acts like they actually value his opinion and are pleased to see him at judges houses.
