What exactly has Harry done to upset Marc and fans?

I can't see any major reason to dislike Harry with the venom that some do other than some folks having an issue with her nakedness and profession? And even then that says more about the people who dislike her than Harry herself?

Genuinely why do you dislike Harry if you do?

I'm quite interested in when the change came about for Marc actually. He went from saying that seeing her naked was making him dribble a bit in the first day or so (jokingly) to absolutely hating her very quickly.

Yeah. Me too. I feel like I've missed something because all I can see is that Marc is judging her based on her airing her body etc which to be frank is something she should do to give her exposure and make money. Everyone else will try to make money out of BB.

I think his usual method of bringing women into line (insults directed at gender he justifies by calling it 'banter', followed by flattery and coaxing) didn't work with her which confused and upset him. So his fans followed suit.

Harry is a strong confident women with a clear set of goals thar she has been open about and is striving towards. Marc and his other miscellaneous nobodies will see that as threatening in marc's world women are there to sevice him and have no other function they must be weak and compliant or face his wrath.

It does seem odd that most people, even his fans, say the one thing they don't like is the way he speaks to and about women but the one woman who stands up for herself and points out his disrespect is then targetted by them.

One of my fave HM's has been Jade but I am even disappointed in her response to Marc and and the way all of the women in the house enable him in response to his behaviour except for Harry. Have to respect her for that.

Yes, I agree and with crisis3 ^. Shame Sarah got booted.

Harry made it clear she didn't like him because she felt she wasn't allowed to speak in his presence. Presumably his vendetta against her stems from that.

Of course we haven't seen much of him dominating her and not allowing her to speak - I dare say there's a lot we haven't seen.

Some reasons why I actively dislike her:

* Telling the house and 1 million viewers that Sam was masturbating in her sleep (that is unforgivable).
* Screaming abuse at Sam for talking when she had the paper bag on, especially as Harry had the task 'rules' back to front and was the one risking failing it.
* Being abusive towards Sam in general. No, I'm not a fan of Sam, at all.
* Joining in with and sometimes instigating the ostracising of Simon.
* Threatening to bottle Marc because she didn't like what Jade said about her in the picnic task
* Constantly trying to dig at Marc when he was trying to avoid and ignore her, such as the wishing well task when he specifically didn't make a wish about her (confirmed by Danny) and she made several about him.
* Being massively sulky and petulant when things don't go her way, such as the picnic task and her reaction to being nominated.
* Sitting on furniture in just a thong squicks me out.

Some reasons why I'm disappointed in her as a housemate:

* Going all out to get in with the original HMs and weakening the impact of her fellow newbies; I understand why she went that route but it was disappointing for me.
* The romance, and no it's not a 'poor Nick' thing because he is at least as guilty as her, I just hate the romances no matter who is involved or how real or fake they are.
* I thought she was going to be smarter and more interesting and she hasn't been.

I don't mind Marc. I think he is a bit of a plonker in the sense he really thinks it's all about him a lot. He is fun. But he has been distasteful and disrespectful to Harry. And you are right - his banter wasn't accepted by Harry maybe. And to be fair that's her perrogative because he is offensive when it comes to women. More kudos to her then..

We'll have to agree to disagree about Marc but, yes, I agree with the rest!

I also think he also may be annoyed because he thinks she may be getting more airtime than he is, which is why he goes on about it.

I think it started when as newbies they went in together but Harry dropped them like hot cakes to suck up to the others. She was nasty to the 3 hms she went in with. Simon, Sam and Marc. She was trying to ingratiate herself with the others by making bitchy, sly comments about them . Her treatment of Sam and Simon were disgusting.

Marc knew her game and she didn't like it. I think she was also a bit put out because he didn't fancy her.

That's my take on it anyway

I found her actions the first week distasteful..she spent all her time ass licking the original houses to get on their good side..fair enough i guess..but to press the point home she took every opportunity to attack everyone of the new housemate ... shje lost me there and that had nothing to do with marc..

Then..after nominations..she became openly nasty to Marc..at on point when danny was trying to convinces her that Marc was willing to let things settle down she replied .."no he isn't if he was he wouldn't have nominated me...(trails off as danny starts talking.) In my opinion her turning nasty to M<arc was either due to him nominating her or the way he nominated her ... fair enough again ..but instead of admitting that she wrapped it in "he has been abusive and nasty to me" when had been nasty to all 3 of the original 3 the first week...

Then when the house didn't leap to her defense but stayed neutral she acted like a 5 year old and refused to talk..in my opinion trying to manipulate them like a child holding her breath

Then there is *fingergate* where she crossed the room..invaded sams privacy by lifting the covers to peek on her..then when sam began to wake..she fled back across the room like she had been caught pulling a prank and promptly began telling everyone sam was masturbating including making rude gestures digging at her crotch...then the next day she tried to claim she was covering sam to protect her modesty.

and last night she was back to the 5 year old isolating herself from the group and sitting with her back to the camera in the diary room.

finally..she has one of the top 5 annoying laughs of all times.

does that answer your question?

I think part of his issue stems from jealousy over how easily she was accepted by the original housemates. He goes on and on about not being their to make friends, but it's clear to see he craves acceptance. She gained that, he didn't like it, and he has done his best to make them push her away and reject her.

I also think he wanted to be the one to go in and do things for attention (walking around naked bar his penis being wrapped in tin foil, for example) but she has done the same (with the nudity). He's annoyed that she is sort of playing him at his own game.

I didn't like her from the minute she went in. I hated the way she rushed in and immediately sucked up to the originals. I don't like the way she wanders around flashing her parts. Not because I have a problem with nudity but because it is so obviously contrived for camera time. I also don't like the way she picked on Sam and Simon (even though I don't like either of them). I don't like her sour sulky face when she's not getting her own way and I really didn't like the way she blatantly tried to get Marc kicked out. Apart from that I love her

I don't get it either. .a few issues have been blown out of all proportion. .the walking around naked is kind of off putting after a while but if that's how she is at home then she's just being herself. .

I don't mind her and actually feel sorry for her at the moment. .nick is being fed some untruths about her and I hope he realises soon.

I also did not like nickis game playing with jack..I also don't see why everyone has it in for him either. .I neither like nor dislike him..but nickis game showed her up to be a real little bitch!!!..at least Helen is just plain nasty to people outright. .nicki is a sneaky little snake

Marc doesn't like women disagreeing with him and sticking up for themselves, when he went into the house with the two hellions and Brian, his attitude to the other housemates proved he can give it but he can't take it. Hopefully Helen will be his downfall, at least before he occasionally showed humour.

I don't think the oldies fully accept her. They have been criticising her and Nick for spending their time under the duvet. I'm sure the more astute HM can see that she has no loyalty to anyone when she dropped those she came in with

I think it goes back to Harry aligning herself with the originals very early on and actually nominating him. If I recall, his chats to Sam after that were about how he thought Harry totally let the newbies down by doing that.

It escalated when Harry also had a go at Simon, along with the originals in the Chloe hoo ha. Marc suggested she was 'licking arse' just to be popular with them and hey ho, we know the rest

I think she's a bit of a drip, but I don't know how Marc can summon up so much anger about her, he really is a complete knob who is taking the experience far too seriously

Ha great thank you. Yes it does..

I think the masturbating thing was a bit off really. So can't argue against that.

I don't think there is anything wrong siding with originals. It's clear that all of the newbies would try to do that. Makes sense. Also nothing wrong with trying to find a bond..

Also Sam and Marc did seem annoying at first and maybe still are

The bottle thing was after Marc had grinded her down - not letting her have an opinion. She genuinely was trying to control her anger and upset at the situation.

Simon doesn't deserve anyone's pity after browbeating a girl young enough to be his daughter, he deserves every ounce of contempt rained upon him after that.

I like Marc but I think this is a case of personalities clashing rather than Harry being some sort of witch.

I do think that she is a bit disingenuous and tried to ride by on the tits ticket but I think she just does that in life to bypass a darker history and come across as a simple 'sexpot'. I think that she's a lot deeper than that and I would have liked to see her explore that side rather than the basic sexy time crap.

But in terms of bad THINGS she has done, other than instigating a bit of bitching and sidelining a couple of housemates to curry favour, she really hasn't been that bad. Even the stuff she has been accused of doing wrong is quite limited. Nick is no victim so that stuff is bollox. The Simon washing thing was snarky but no more bitchy than most of them. And the Sam-king event was really geared up by Danny and she just piled on.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like her at all, she has the deep coldness of a 'party girl' that Helen actually shares. That's actually an interesting study as I believe that both of them may have been introduced to sex early in their lives and thus appear to have normalized the action and the tantalizing effect without necessarily the deeper bonding it often inspires or is intertwined with. It makes for very hot/cold people and as cruel as it is at the moment at least I'm seeing a side to her that has a lot more depth and significance than 'tits'. She's tough and stands her ground and on some level I really do respect that.

She's got under his skin and distracted him from the game. He can hardly stop talking/thinking about her. It's very strange. It amuses me that a reasonably bland housemate could be his downfall, not because of anything she does, but because he's become overly obsessed with 'hurting' her.
