Why the hell call her wife when she is saying it's just a friend, this women is either bullsh*%ing or has something to hide, what it is don't know, but when you on bigbrother you must know that your life story will be dug up.

I have a friend who has another friend who she is particularly close to, both women are straight and have partners and yet they refer to one another as wifey. I can't speak for Harry's situation but it is something that is done.

She should of told the truth from the start

What exactly is it that she has been lying about , or not telling the truth about ?

Until this whole Harry & her wife thing came up I had no idea that it's something that gets said between straight women. Came as news to me.

But that aside, it seems to be that Harry is deliberately fostering confusion around the issue. She's about as clear as mud. From what information she's imparted so far, she's got a wife who's straight who allows her to sleep with other women but not men. What kind of platonic friend would dictate like that ?

Harry can't be unaware that people are confused by it all. Yet she's not doing a thing to help clear that confusion up.

The thing that stuck out for me was after another vicious verbal assault from Helen and making someone's life unbearable for a couple of days she seems to be backtracking an awful lot.

Me too but they're both a bit ****ed up (not saying that's typical or necessary, just saying). Maybe it's a modern girls-in-their-twenties thing

Curious about not seeing anyone mention Sam saying she had a wife....

I think the wife and step daughter is reference to people that 'have her back' and people she watches out for. It's not unusual to place enormous trust in very few people other than family if someone has not had a great background or support from the normal peer groups/family environment etc

I thought of starting a thread about that a while back, but lost the inclination.

If Cristian is allowed brothers all over the place, I don't see why Harry can't have a wife.

I don't know any wives like that.

My husband, however...

Not surprised. Sam is insanely boring. Seems only Harry has the forum (to use a Corinism ) "buzzin".

Harry's 'wife' dictates who Harry can sleep with. Are your friends like this?

She told Sam her 'wife' allows her to sleep with other women, but not men. Where on earth is that a normal friendship?

Yes my daughters do that with their friends too but they don't tell them who they can or can't see. I suspect there's more to it in Harry's case.

I fully appreciate what you're saying. Harry is no different from most, in that she places trust in those she loves & gets support from etc.

It's the usage of the word wife that I find misleading. I don't see the need to take something that has a very defined meaning & use it to mean something different. What's wrong with simply saying best friend ?

I'm a straight female & I've never stumbled across this strange usage of the word before. At 37, I clearly must be getting too old to know what all the cool kids are saying now.

I think most people have a standard procedure of simply ignoring anything that Sam utters

Jeesh it's an inside joke for two friends to reference how close they are, is it really that big of a deal?
