So is it possible to get out of an EE contract too with this change?
EE haven't increased any charges that would qualify for a penalty free termination.

When I check the Royal Mail tracking for mine I get an error 500!! When I called Royal Mail to check they said they atre awaiting information. I sent it signed for!

Maybe I would be best to send another and do the full tracking postage!

So Can I be clear on this before I contact Vodafone and ask them. They seem rather busy at the moment.

As long as I stay within my limits I will not see an increase in my bill?

I tend to call landlines and mobiles.

Cheers

Personally I think they are great & as a longtime spotify user I love that being with vodafone gets me free spotify premium.

I got a letter back say I was not eligible as my bill wouldn't rise by 10% due to the new charges.

I could argue that if I start calling 08 numbers then my bills would be a lot higher but looks like I would have a fight on my hands. I can't be arsed.

I have send letter on 29th June 2015 but no response from vodafone, so i decided to try live chat, after 15 different agent transfers loop this is what i have been told :

Ujjaval : Thank you for your patience.
Ujjaval : I checked details for you and can see that we have already received a request for the free of cost
cancellatoin for you and your contract will be cancelled on 26/07/2015

I asked for the PAC code.

Ujjaval : You can not get the PAC code .........., if you apply for the free of cost cancellation.
Ujjaval : we are allowing you to cancel the contract free of cost as it is effected in the price plan change.

After insisting that its my right to have the pac code :

Ujjaval : I checked details for you and for the pac code you will need to speak with the
cancellation team which is not available at the moment.

I called CS cancellation department, one agent said that you cannot get pac code, after few transfer now they saying that i am not eligible for free cancellation, even on live chat they say this agent did a mistake.

Now i have written another letter today plus live chat transcript as a proof that the agent confirmed i can cancel my contract, the other agents are keep telling me that i am not affected by this price change, even though i mentioned that calls to 0500 numbers will be going up from 17p to 37p and also i made few calls to 0844 0845 numbers which do affect me.

Has anyone else had any success leaving Vodafone because of this? I didn't want to leave but am getting a bit sick of their network becoming slower and slower in London, and don't have too much faith they will fix it. I checked the link they SMS'ed me and it just says you have to let them know by 10 August.

The only reason not to switch to EE is the cheap roaming on Voda (I'm effectively paying Voda £15/month for 20Gb of data and would much rather pay £3/day to use this with no further restrictions [i.e. you can stream and tether, unlike on 3] in Europe than pay EE £25 for 500MB. South Africa is even crazier at £5/day on Voda and £40 for 100MB on EE).

However, if Voda is giving everyone who's trying to leave grief then that would make the decision not to bother moving easier.

It's really not worth it. A month later I'm still chasing them up, I'd be amazed if a single person has managed to get out of their contract yet.

Well, I've some news on this one.

I sent two letters, the first I forgot to include my account number so sent another literally a day later with all the required info. I got one response to the first, telling me they couldn't find my details and to write back, then as for the second... nothing.

I chased Vodafone up later that week and after being passed around the houses did eventually get through to the correct cancellations team. They confirmed over the phone that I would be getting my PAC by return letter which got me somewhat excited. Again, no letter arrived.

After a week of further waiting so placed another call last Wednesday, on this further call the chap I spoke to read the account and just literally generated a PAC there and then, received via an SMS whilst I was on the phone.

I was quite chuffed with this so spoke to EE and ordered my new SIM only pack, on Friday of last week a letter arrived from VF - actually telling me I wasn't eligible to cancel due to three Months worth of bills and not calling any out of bundle numbers.

So, where do things stand here now? I've been given a PAC, which previously, and as written, can only be generated on payment of £140 early termination, however at no point have I actually agreed to this - the cancellations team chap has obviously done this in error! My number ports to EE later on today so we'll see what happens following the port.

I know this was almost a year ago however I have just had the same text from vodafone. I was wondering do you have to send the phone back to them when you cancel?

I am about to cancel my agreement with Voda too as from 23/07 they are increasing the charges out of bundle. So everyone has rights to terminate contract without early termination fee I think under section 11b point 4. I also was wondering if they let me do that will I have to return the phone back or just pay for the phone?
