Agree with you. I wasn't that keen on BB14 actually, but I thought BB13 was fantastic. I'm possibly a little biased as I auditioned for it, but I thought it had some great Housemates and was allowed to flow really well. I also find Deana to be a very significant Housemate, for the simple reason that she was everything the producers hate and was still popular. She was an unusually popular Housemate for someone from Channel 5's era, and she got to where she was just by being herself. She wasn't especially loud or obnoxious, she was quiet and a bit reserved but had something about her that made her entertaining. She didn't cruise through to the final by being protected by the producers or being so quiet that she slipped under the radar - she was up for eviction quite a few times and people saved her. I find her living proof that no matter what the producers think, you don't have to be someone like Helen or Marc to be 'entertaining'.
I actually thought that the first two weeks of this year were great - the casting this year has been really good, they just aren't allowing it to focus on the Housemates. They don't
need all of these twists, they detract from it.
