Considering civilian bb seems to be nastier than say like the year before and considering ratings are dropping like a stone I think civilian bb should be axed after 2018 and for channel 5 to focus on Celebrity big brother instead. Civilian bb doesn't make the money anymore like it used to.

Yet another thread from you whining about it. Stop watching if you don't like it anymore.

I prefer civilian to the so-called "celebrity" version.

im amazed you think its going to be on until 2018

i think next year we are going to have a 'legends' series, if not next then the year after.

this followed by the news civilian has been axed for good, or is being 'rested', whilst they manage to secure a longer contract for CBB.

i think CBB is pretty much a show which can run forever and ever as there will always be an interest in what people already in the public eye are really like, also its only on for 3-4 weeks at a time.

This years is nowhere as nasty as last and it's certainly not as nasty as Katie Hopkins in the last CBB

The show definitely needs a rest. I would not be sad if it did end.

People are jumping the gun. The problem is the producers are throwing too much at the wall in terms of twists. They're not letting the game flow naturally and its souring people. That can be fixed. Remember BB14 was only 2 years ago and was one of the best series ever. Producers are very capable of excellent casting and making a vintage series. They just need to take a step back.

I also detest most of the 'celebs' that go into CBB now, too many ****ing soap 'stars'.

I never saw CBB as anything other than a little adjunct to the REAL (civilian) BB - a gimmick really.

I think the whole franchise should be rested for a few years and then brought back with a new production team

There's nothing wrong with people moaning but still watching. Football fans etc. Do it all the time. I'll always watch because I love BB but this series has been shockingly bad.

I think they need one more crack at it. need more of a mix of ages, characters, social groups. Also if the producers see people struggling to impress on TV in the 1st week get rid of them without the public vote.

Any show that thinks the C word is okay should get gone

Anyone who doesn't like a show using the C word should not watch said show.

Agree with you. I wasn't that keen on BB14 actually, but I thought BB13 was fantastic. I'm possibly a little biased as I auditioned for it, but I thought it had some great Housemates and was allowed to flow really well. I also find Deana to be a very significant Housemate, for the simple reason that she was everything the producers hate and was still popular. She was an unusually popular Housemate for someone from Channel 5's era, and she got to where she was just by being herself. She wasn't especially loud or obnoxious, she was quiet and a bit reserved but had something about her that made her entertaining. She didn't cruise through to the final by being protected by the producers or being so quiet that she slipped under the radar - she was up for eviction quite a few times and people saved her. I find her living proof that no matter what the producers think, you don't have to be someone like Helen or Marc to be 'entertaining'.

I actually thought that the first two weeks of this year were great - the casting this year has been really good, they just aren't allowing it to focus on the Housemates. They don't need all of these twists, they detract from it.

The problem is samwell-smith and O'connor. They just seem to be dithering and can't come out with anything original, it's all recycled ideas from previous bbs. It's probably why ratings aren't up to scratch. Their tactics of keeping in marc are an absolute farce.

They shouldn't need to do something like that. Twists can't be original, there's only a certain number that they can do before they start recycling them, that's natural. People are original. Every year will have a completely different dynamic within the House, that's what keeps it fresh. The twists are just there to add something to it on occasion. If they weren't so desperate to add new things to it, it wouldn't even matter recycling old twists because they'd only have been done one or two times before, not twenty bloody times in the last four years.
