No, he shouldn't have said that about hoping that they get cancer (although they actually had it anyway, so it was a bit of a pointless insult) but that to me doesn't look like a whole conversation, it looks more like bits and pieces of one, I'd be willing to bet that there were whole chunks that were left out of that, it doesn't have a proper flow to it. My mother was one that listened to rubbish like that girl was peddling (I saw the interview) and refused chemo and tried the natural path, and died. I took the chemo and survived (14 years ago). Yes there are a few that manage to beat it naturally, but "few" is the operative word, that girl is endangering other people's lives and doesn't seem to get it. Neither you nor I know if Marc was speaking with his science head on, or if he had other reasons for getting so upset about it”

BIB There is no way that someone on TV is going to influence something as critical as what treatment people choose to have for cancer. Her advocacy of good diet choice (along with treatment) should be considered though.
Second
BIB I'm sorry about your mother , though many choose not to take the harsh treatment of chemotherapy for many reasons. Both my parents died quite young from cancer and took treatment which they admitted(after the fact) just made them sicker for the little time it afforded them.
It's not that uncommon that people choose not to take treatment for something - especially as it is not a cure for that particular illness. Whether I agree or not with that woman's decisions, Marc's decision to challenge her, in the disingenuous (and public) way he did was horrible.
