Google photos and device storage

I have Google photos on my nexus and iPad . Will uploading all my pics fill my device or are the pics being streamed to the devices ?

Pics are being "streamed", effectively, yes. I think they get cached in a much smaller format (basically a thumbnail) for flicking through quickly on your device, and then the larger picture gets pulled from the cloud when necessary.

On the flip side, there doesn't seem to be a way of 'pinning' photos to your device, so if you want to be able to access a particular album when you don't have a data connection, you could be out of luck.
