streaming problems BT Infinity HH4

TuneIn radio app buffering constantly this morning on both an iPad and a mobile phone.
Tried both (separately) right next to the BT equipment. The HH 4 blue light is fine; the LAN 1 line is blinking constantly on the router. (this may be normal? I've heard it blinks if you're a BT Sport subscriber?? sorry, am clueless)

Checked my connection speed wirelessly on speedtest.net with 3 wifi devices within 3 mins, all right next to each other and within 2m of the HH:
on my laptop - 63.53 download, 17.85 upload, ping 1.
on S5 phone via app - 37.41 download and 18.53 upload, ping 18. (on phone, speedtest dial only goes to 50 max speed -?)
on iPad Air via app - 63.55 download, 17.55 upload ping 11.
When streaming TuneIn, the phone buffered although v slightly less than the iPad. When connection resumed, the phone was one BBC R4 story ahead of the iPad app.

Checked speed/connection on BT's own bt diagnostics speedtest website via laptop - went through the enter phone no for existing Infinity customers and it ran the test, then told me I have no Infinity installed (!) and to enter my phone no to see what I could get.
It then informed me that my line currently gets 60-80mb download and 16-20 upload...
I've had Infinity for 2 years.

Is this a likely BT connection issue, or an issue with TuneIn?

Another linked question: even when TuneIn is working normally, it drops in my bedroom due to bad wifi signal from the thick wall in my flat. Been looking at wifi repeater products around £100 mark and don't want to waste money if they don't work. BT do one as do various 3rd party sellers via amazon. I need one that works seamlessly with BT HH4 as life is far too short and my health too fragile to ring BT support!

thanks guys. BT should have a proper support set up...

Have you tried streaming from other Apps such as the BBC Iplayer. If this works OK then it's the Tunein site. Thre are lots or reasons why an App or website doesn't run well and it's not always a BT problem.

thanks. I tried YouTube which was ok but that was about 30 mins after I'd had problems with TuneIn.
it's a good point. I'll see how it goes tomorrow morning - listen to radio before 8am.
What's the best radio alternative - iPlayer radio?
