Alt j. Maybe secretly Kanye west to see how much gun violence he can encourage while on stage. Not impressed with the rest.

I fancy a bit of Motorhead, Paul Weller and The Who. Maybe Pharrell Williams too if Daft Punk join him.

Ah yes, Glastonbury. The only festival where people buy tickets the second they're on sale with no idea who's playing. Then moan when they find out who's playing.

I'll stick with better festivals.

I think it's a shame that people buy tickets before they even know whose playing now. The true fans of the featured bands often don't get a look in.
Shame

It's the best festival in the Country... and there's so much to it then the Headliners....

I'm looking forward to finding some new tunes and bands, something I've not seen before. Stuff the big names.

I've been to Glastonbury... preferred Reading and I'm pretty sure there are other posters with their own opinion. I would say Glastonbury has got much worse the more popular it has become

It's the biggest, best is subjective. For me it's over-hyped and not really much about music any more. No harm in that, and I'm sure there's plenty of reasons to enjoy it with a good bunch of mates, but I go to festivals to see bands I want to see, not to take pot luck.

On the other hand, I have been quite pleased the last two years that I did not bother to get tickets. When they announce the bands, I think that's good, I did not want to see any of them anyway

Reading was always preferable. Glastonbury is just a cash cow.

On I loved it back when The Cure were doing two hour sets, the days they tend to think the Glastonbury crowd want Dolly Parton or Kylie. It has lost any 'alternative cool' it had...

How much of the ticket price goes to Greenpeace??

Glastonbury Festival 2013 beneficiaries

Oxfam: £500,000
Greenpeace: £500,000
WaterAid: £260,000

Regarding your other point.. are any festivals like that now? I think one of the main issues is the quality of music in general isn't all that great these days. I don't think it's just an issue with Glastonbury tbh. Although perhaps I'm wrong and other festivals are much better with their line ups.

I'm mostly into tits at the moment so any loose girl bands/soloists will do me.

I'd say its value for money is one of the best.

Always look forward to Glastonbury weekend, but this year I couldn't give a toss about it. Not one act I care about. Kanye west is a tosspot. So it's The Witcher for me.

There is one great big secret act on Pyramid Stage tonight - Florence's empty slot because they move to the headline act instead of Foo's. They've said it's someone who's 'never done the Pyramid Stage before, and who weren't planned to be at Glasto this year', which rules out a few, but does leave a number of intriguing possibilities. Genuine surprises are few and far between these days, so let's see if the information leaks during the day, or it's just a swirl of rumours. Should definitely be a big crowd this evening at the Pyramid, just to see who it is!
