Yes but Joanie is intellectually superior. Wasn't she a teacher or a headteacher? How did she end up so badly. Surely she must have a descent teachers pension. Just thinking how some of these story lines are so bad.

Her husband had dodgy investments or unpaid taxes and left her with massive debts. Also, was she working? She might have had teaching qualifications but not been working regularly for years other than as a mother/ housewife. I remember her saying something about going back to supply work, so maybe she hadn' t had a regular teaching post in some time. Although supply teachers will be on a better hourly rate than I' ll ever get.

Although how her husband got away with running up huge unpaid tax bills is anyone' s guess. I mean he wasn' t running Google Maybe he was some sort of con man and died owing millions?

Also primary private tutoring is £25.00 ph in London. My friend who is based in Stafford charges £20.00 ph and on supply she gets £130.00 per day on long term and £120.00 day to day. So I don't know why Joanie cant. Unless she needs to do the back to teaching course.

Who knows? Maybe there' s not much work for supply teachers ( translated as the council can' t afford to hire them? I' m assuming they' re only getting irregular work - not doing a 40 hour week? The tutors are self employed too, so paying own tax and NI and business costs of that £20 aren' t they? Although if she was working full time at the factory she' d have probably got working tax credits and housing benefit, so been able to manage rent on a place. It really annoyed me that she jacked that job in, but as we know, soap characters have never heard of benefits, employment contracts, money advisers or any such service. Last night I was practically yelling ' Go to the Citizens' Advice Bureau you tit!' at Tyrone in CS.

Aaron has felt guilt over many things and for 2016 your resolution should be to embrace Aaron for the amazingly great character he is.

Mark is obsessed with Aaron; you'll get used to it I think Aaron and Ross are as bad as each other though.

Please, Ross was nothing but a replacement for Aaron after Danny Miller left. Besides Ross' obsession with Debbie automatically drops him down several levels.


LOL I'm not obsessed with Aaron he's just one of my all time favorite soap characters and with the HBIC returning I will probably be posting just as much about her greatness as Aaron's.

Replacent for Aaron , Ross actually has a sense of humour and doesnt cry every 5 minutes. Atleast Ross has a role in the show Aaron is stuck between being a thug and just a complete bore. One last thing, haven't you admitted that Robert brings Aaron's character down? Isnt it the same thing with Ross and Debbie? Atleast Ross can change again when Debbie leaves, Aaron will always be a self pitying bore.

I admit Ross is very funny, and pre-Debbie he was one of my favorite's along with Aaron. However I find it hard to root for him since getting with Debbie and he's very self pitying and has middle child syndrome. As for Aaron, like I said before he's the show's tragic hero going from one sad drama to the next. I do think Robert has brought down Aaron, they are playing them as a gay version of JR and Sue Ellen from Dallas, making Aaron Roberts perpetual victim and I'd like to see Aaron get back to the alpha male role he once had. The difference with Debbie and Robert is that there is great chemistry between Aaron and Robert and the story never seemed forced like it has with Ross and Debbie.

Mark - you come across to me as being obsessed with Aaron. Whenever anyone has the nerve to say anything unpleasant about him you jump on them and don't let it go. You've done so with me several times and other FMs too.

Well don't take it personal, I do really like Aaron but I also enjoy a good argument.

It was quite a nice ending to the year having Emmerdale as another combined Tess & Nessa show.

I love the character too Mark and you should never apologise for supporting him. Others feel the same way about their own favourites and make excuses for everything they do whilst throwing shade at characters they dont like for doing the same thing. Speaking of which - Ross was a self-pitying crybaby last night just because he had finally been found out by Debbie for shooting Robert yet once again will escape justice with his punishment of losing Debbie being seen as him suffering enough.

Well thanks and I don't apologize for supporting Aaron. I do think there are some on here that hate Aaron just as much as I love him, and post a lot about how much they hate him.

As for Ross, I didn't watch last night's episode yet cuz I was getting ready for my NYE party, but I can't wait to see that. The Aaron haters go on about him being a cry baby and self absorbed when Ross is 10x worse.

I hate arguments, largely due to the fact that I spent 14 years listening to my parents' constant arguments at all hours of the day and night before they finally split up . So I'm keeping quiet about Aaron from now on

Okay, please indulge me - I've missed a few episodes the past couple of weeks so am a bit lost:

1. I saw a bit of an episode when Aaron was beating the hell out of a security guard and the next day saw his mug shot on tv. How did he manage to wrangle his way out of that? Also, why was he doing a robbery when a few weeks ago he was terrified of going to jail?

2. Why have Chas and Gordon suddenly decided that they loved each other after years of mutual hatred? (see also Tracy/Robert in CS)

3. What took the police so long to link Ross to the shooting? Why were they even searching for his trainers?

4. Okay this one I saw but did Zack really throw away his marriage for a woman he's known for 5 minutes?

And finally, I never liked the original Robert partly because I had a soft spot for Andy but now I find him totally charismatic and intriguing. I love how he sees everything as an opportunity to try to gain an advantage. I have no idea what he sees in Aaron (sorry Mark) - he must lose a brain cell every time he talks to him.
