From the looks of those spoiler the show's name should be changed to Debbiedale, does Kate Oates not realize that 90% of the audience hate her guts and find the relationship with Ross as entertaining as Maruel? Actually I take the last part back, I'll take Maurel over Ross/Debbie

I think they are trying to promote Debbie and Ross as a great love story that will have viewers wanting them to be together. Poor Pete is the injured party here. Ross has a hell of a lot of other storylines around him too.

Yes, you're right, TPTB think Ross/Debbie are going to be the new Cain and Charity, however in reality they are the new Maurel. The only plus side that could come out of this is Pete letting Debbie have it once the affair is revealed and it might give his character more of an edge.

I just find the whole storyline really dull and thin. She has to choose between 2 brothers. She has chemistry with neither (tho' slightly more with Pete), and doesn't seem to specially like either. She goes backwards and forwards week after week after zzzzz. We're supposed to be gripped by her self-destructive nature, and all I see is a stroppy moose with a permanent mardarse expression. Which, come to think of it, is exactly why I don't give a monkey's about Aaron either. They're the same character.

Oh now don't put my boy Aaron in the same category as his resting bitch face cousin. Yes Aaron is moody and what not but he shows much more emotion than Debbie ever has and unlike her he actually cares about others feelings and I couldn't see Aaron stringing two brothers along like Debbie is doing now.

Don't give them storyline ideas ...

What I do know is how well Jason & Sammy (and the others at Home Farm at that time, btw) got on and enjoyed working and socialising together.
For a poster, without anything to support the question, to suggest the reason for Jason leaving was because he was paired with Sammy, was incredibly biased, ignorant and mean spirited!
I couldn't care less if any poster doesn't like Sammy, or rate her as an actress, but i do care when someone stoops to something like this, and that goes for any actor or actress.

This whole Dross affair has been a MESS. And it's going to be messier once Debbie finds out that she's been shaggin her baby brothers dad. There's no pay off from this storyline since they'll obviously break off for good since Debbie wouldn't date Ross knowing the truth, right??? Tho, the Dingles are very incesty so it wouldn't surprise me if they keep this up.

AND I'm expecting Debbie getting pregnant by Ross at some point.

She didn't betray Debbie, who was with Pete at the time. I don't think she even knew that Debbie cared for Ross.

Ross has no interest in being involved with Moses and he presumably hasn't been named on the birth certificate.

Is she thinking about Debbie's feelings (something that didn't bother her when she failed to mention her pregnancy) or is it just a means of tricking Moira into thinking that Moses is Cain's?

It won't though will it? Look at all of the soaps. They're all the same, in slightly different degrees, with more and more pressure to be sensationalist over character-driven.

I get the impression KO does the best she can within the contraints. We got Laurel and Alicia. And then it's back to blowing things up. At least there's still some balance there.

I don't watch any other soaps now. I've stopped watching Corrie since SB took over, although I didn't really mind him at Emmerdale. Maybe because he was behind the scenes for years and knew some back story. Kate Oates doesn't.

I think in her first year Kate Oakes was good, but Emmerdale hasn't been amazing the past year.
