I have no idea what an HBIC is but every cast member is of equal importance.
There is no such thing as a B lister. Everyone is the same. It's a British soap, not a Hollywood so called 'blockbuster'.. |

Analysis Centrals of Comedy half hour produced by Ex Hollyoaks.
I normally approve of comedy, I like good comedy, but Emmerdale at present is not good comedy, it is the Office levels of shit comedy if Ricky Gervais or his comedy stooges show up them i'm off for good Did ITV employ Ex Hollyoaks to kill Emmerdale off because thats the only explanation Case in point 1) The stupidest bereavement group session in the history of the world, as if the rest of the group along with the annoying Lydia would put up with Nicola and Jimmy without lynching them and using the word shame alot for being so insensitive. Case in Point 2) The Comedy failed Dognapping, benny hill might have made this farce funny but Ex hollyoaks and his failed writers couldn't and they made the mistake of pretending that the friendliest Rottweiler in the world was a savage dog, savage Dogs on TV are never funny Case in Point3) If you are attempting to have a serious storyline don't give it to comedy actors, Kerry Actress can't act at the best of times and she is showing new levels of dreadfulness now. Thank Goodness for Carly, she even managed to make comedy scenes with the Moron look good. And Moron make the flat pack upstairs where the bedroom, that's what flat pack is for you dweeb to make life easy. Goood grief. ways how to blow up Emmerdale _ A pack of savage dogs with rabies bit everyone in the village and everyone but Carly and Victoria die. They have two of the strongest actors/popular characters doing some ridiculous scene cowering from rottweiler that looks about as dangerous as a mickey mouse while Kerry is given a serious story. This goes back to what I was saying yesterday the show has no balance. Poor Emmerdale seems to be the show that lost out on the producer swap, Hollyoaks has gotten better and Corrie is really hasn't missed a beat since the change over. |

LOL that term could be applied to anything from a soap to a basketball team.
Noo!!! Don't say that. After his performance in the debate on Tuesday I really don't think he'll win. |

That's what everyone thought about Brexit winning the referendum and the Conservatives getting a majority in last years General Election and looked what happened in both of them.

Obviously the DS Corrie episode threads are too busy criticising and making fun of the show to notice the improvement heh

Of course there is an element of A and B list on soaps, you may not have a preference for the charcthers considered A list but are you seriously suggesting that the producer of the shows don't give most of the storylines and screen time to the same small group of charcthers?
The new problem now is that everything is farcical, and it has nothing to do with the characters on-screen but the way that the stories are being presented to us. |

I would say Emmerdales top characters (based on fans are) Aaron, Robert, Ross, Cain, Moira and Charity. Obviously its different on here, Aaron has a lot of haters, Ross has a few and not many people like Charity but these are the characters that get people talking the most and they are essentially what makes us tune in. The show could survive without them but it would loose so many qualities.
An example of popularity is when Ross was "killed off" within a week an online petition went around to get him back which 20k people has signed. Thats obviously not what brought him back, he was always going to be alive but not many other characters would of got such a response. |

When Ross was explaining his latest moneymaking scam to Charity I just assumed he was winding her up. So I was surprised to see he actually meant it. All that effort for a possible £500 - ridiculous storyline. And I have to agree with your comment about the Rottweiler. I am petrified of big dogs but even I would have petted him. He looked lovely.

The storylines and the comedic elements are just getting ludicrous.
Get Ross back to being a bad boy properly, they are emasculating the character. Parr plays a great nasty character well; he should be skulking about causing endless trouble. Get the psychotic dark Robert back, get him shagging other lads behind Aarons back, causing him aggro and grief, show how Aaron is tied to Robert and wont leave him. Show Robert dealing and conniving- stop all this ludicrous baby crap, stop forcing 'comedy' routines and dressing up into the programme, and get with the storytelling. In short, get back to how it was around a year ago |

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters
Warning Kwynne is not here tomorrow morning or possibly all days, if anyone else wants to have a go at Analysis they are welcome. A much better episode with comedy with Comedy strictly reduced to Pete's shirt and not too much overdose of the Dull Pregnant Dull Hag, indeed Abject misery has returned to Emmerdale with Cain. 1) Lets look at Holly shall we, just as she is leaving she has become very good, which is typical. When she first came back everyone complained about her lank hair, her monotonous voice, lack of facial expressions and general lacking of the character. Now since her hair is glossy, she has shiny eyes, has multiple facial expressions and even when she happy her voice isn't quite as monotonous the stuff everyone complaining about was the drugs talking and so on acting choice, indeed she looked spectacular in that Yellow dress. So maybe everyone should apologise to the poor put upon character/Actress Indeed I'll start sorry Holly/Sophie for being so mean 2) cain - the spoilers had everybody and his dog attacking Cain for not helping Belle, but all it was was some mild annoyance from Lisa Still Angst ridden Cain was a breathe off thresh blowing away the so called comedy 3) The Annoying Dull pregnant dull Hag - thats right annoying dull hag prostrate yourself in church because you have alot to say sorry for, such as multiple crimes of terrible acting. 4) Jimmy and Nicola made up for the ten millionth time oh joy 5) If both Cain and Charity leave the show then this show dies on its feet almost immediately 6Dull dan was especially dull 7) Nice romantic Jai takes a bit of getting used to isn't he 8) Moira you need to stop telling Cain its over and to go away, since he has. 9) Limited on screen Dross a joy. 10) Seriously is the Moron starting to ruin his relationship with Carly with jealousy and insecurities already? What a moron 11) Carly build a wardrobe lock Moron in it and throw away the key. |

Weekly bulletin of the Malt Shovel
Emmerdale resident are warned to drink bottled water as gases from the centre of the earth is poluting the water around Emmerdale. This has affected residents in a variety of ways particularly bad singing, the constant wearing of fancy dress, garish check shirts, unexpected humour where there is none and pretending to be things they are not. Spontaneous bouts of laughter and doing things not really funny is big problem in Emmerdale these days. Farmer Giles has moved all his animals to higher ground as the dangerous gas in the water has cause 4 llama, 4 sheep and 10 cows to run around excitedly until they drop dead from Exhaustion. Remember drink the bottled water. |

Analysis central are all wearing black armbands this morning and Kwynne is distraught with grief at the loss of a character who had been growing on us all, so Deputy Analyser stepping in
![]() ![]() 1 – Emmerdale, you had us all fooled, you had us thinking that all we could look forward to was the tripe you’ve been serving up for the last few weeks and then you go and hit us with 2 stonking episodes like last night and give us at least a glimmer of hope for the future. 2 – Moira – oh Moira – can there possibly be anything worse for a mother than to find their child dead. Don’t think so and Natalie J played an absolute blinder, from the mounting horror of realisation to the final sobbing wreck, she had this analyser in floods… ![]() ![]() ![]() 3 – Cain – ffs stop mucking around with Charity (and mucking her around) and get back to Moira where you belong! ![]() 4 – Charity – come on Charity, you know Cain is only with you because he thinks Moira doesn’t want him. Have a bit of dignity and get out of it (and not back to Scumbag Ross you stupid woman, you’re far better than that!). 5 – Chas – was a good friend and sister and gave good advice. 6 – Adam – grow up boy, it’s time for you to be there for your mother – like she’s been for you all your life. ![]() 7 – Victoria – was supportive of Adam whilst grieving herself. 8 – Diane – meddled a bit, but was there for Victoria when she needed her. 9 – The 3 Witches in the pub (Brenda/Leyla/Megan) were good when they all turned round as one when Brenda got back to the table with the gossip about Cain and Charity (even the lighter moments were good last night). 10 – Bit parts – Paddy and Rhona/Bob and Carly teasing Jai in the shop/even the terrible singing at the beginning – were all ok. 11 – Only black mark for me was Kerry being very tasteless in the cafe |

I knew Holly was leaving but I was not expecting this. Fantastic episodes and, in the main, fantastic acting. |

Cain belongs with Moira. He needs a strong, feisty woman next to him. Cain and Moira could be unstoppable! All this guff with Charity is just desperate. I had warmed slightly towards Charity pulling pints in the Woolpack, but it's wearing off again now.

But what did the nasty cow do? Straight up to the farm to drip poison into Moira's ear. That woman really is vile. |

Not sure about vile - but she is coming over as a sad, desperate, lonely woman now - I'm starting to feel sorry for her. She knows very well that she's fighting a losing battle with Moira over Cain.....
And now seemingly over Noah as well... Anyway, we all know her mood will change as soon as the next wealthy target appears on the horizon - or is she starting to realise that she is getting older and her scamming opportunities are shrinking. |
