How could anyone be so lacking in any sort of dignity? I don't mean working for Marlon, I mean being so desperate to get invited to someone's wedding. She doesn't like Debbie and barely knows Pete!

Just how much money does Pete earn as a farm hand? Helicopters don't come cheap, he also forked out for the hire of a fair and a diamond necklace for Debby. Hmm, I wonder how many vacancies there will be at Bartons? I'm applying.

Kerry's atrocious and doesn't know the meaning of the word dignity. If I hadn't been invited to someone's wedding I wouldn't go crawling or begging for an invitation to anybody's or try any other way of wangling my way in. I'd say they could shove it and then not give them another thought, making a mental note to strike them off the Xmas card list. I'd certainly not lose my self respect and give them the satisfaction of going kowtowing to the miserable buggers. That said, I can see why Debbie wouldn't want Kerry at her wedding, she's loud, in your face, embarrassing and doesn't seem capable of composing herself in public, or anywhere else given how she'd stuck her arse right into Ruby's face. She like a female Shadrach - and I wouldn't want him at my wedding either!

she really annoys me! how do you manage to skin your backside going down a chute???? I did think it was mean of Debbie not to invite her, as Dan's partner, but still it is her wedding, and if she doesn't want Kerry there....

Very nicely done, Glenda
Debbie needs all the defending she can get on here

A brilliant double episode last evening, the disaster was very well done But it was marred by Kerryman - Ughhh. I hope she is one of the fatalities.

Thought it was very well done last night - but it's tonight (and tomorrow as well) that I'm looking forward to - the aftermath and how it affects all the characters. As a one-off stunt it was average, but the episode itself was brilliant - loads of really good character-driven stuff.

BIB well said.

I would have gone off somewhere for the day instead of showing myself up like that.

Why were Sarah and April the only kids at the wedding, apart from a back view of Jack and a glimpse of Kyle in his buggy. But no, there was Sarah and April right at the front in both the fairground and the dancing scenes. Where was Samson? Actually, April is beginning to flag for me a bit, she is being very overused. you can have just too much cutsie pieness, its starting to make my teeth itch. Apart from a few niggles I did enjoy the ep. I'm recording the omnibus on Saturday so I can go through all the eps and nitpick to myself.

So, Adumb was asleep in a burning car? Will he be one of the dead? Will we know the difference? Notice Moron had top get himself in the action with his "poor me" act yet again. He is just so boring. Poor Pete, hope he survives. Ross had an early bath, shame I was hoping he would go for the long drop off a high cliff. The Val and Diane stuff was just filler rubbish, sorry.

Analysis of the disaster episode

1) If you are offered lots of money to go to spain so you won't cause trouble do you

A) Accept and leave forever and make lots of money committing crimes in spain (which I think was cain's Offer?)
B) Accept and leave for 6 weeks and tell Pete about him and Debbie on his return getting lots of money in sapin and having the satisfaction of ruining Pete and Debbie Marriage
C) Reject the offer, get beaten up, get locked in a Van left on the edge of a cliff and life in grave danger

Naturally Dross chose C because he both very obstinately doesn't know what good for him and also seems to like receiving pain as much as giving it out.

2) Setting fire to cars is very dangerous Chriise it might result in a chain reaction causing gas cannister to shoot down a helicopter and cause it to crash on the village hall.

Sidebar did all the money that should have been spent on the crashing helicopter get spent instead on Chrissie setting fire to Roberts really really expensive car?

3) If you are getting married try not to leave evidence of your infedelity all over the place like on Memory Sticks and in envelopes that were supposed to be destroyed.

4) How come Val didn't turn to Stone like the Gorgon she is the second she looked at herself in the hall of mirrors? or turn into a giant snake like the Mara in Doctor who.

5) If Marlon and Rhona have a secret affair Analysis Central will cease reporting on Emmerdale and cover Corrie instead.

6) Kate Oates went berserk copying and plagiaring things this episode
1) Disaster movies
2) Eastenders Sharongate storyline almost word for word I reckon
3) Brookside relationships with Helicopters, what next a killer virus killing half the cast?

7) Yes Roos jumping out of a van on a cliff into afreezing lake is always better than waiting for Cain to Come back, other help to pass by or climbing on the roof and escaping out the front

Radio Malt broadcast last night 7.58pm

So its been a wonderful day here and everything has gone well at the wedding, the bride wore white and the grrom a suit, nothing has gone wrong which for Emmerdale is a miracle.

I'm outside taking some air at the moment, wait somebody just told me that a recording is playing in the hall of Debbie admitting to having an affair with the grooms brother

Wait was that a distant explosion

What's that in the air trailing smoke

Oh My god a helicopter i9s crashing on the hall oh my god

Sound of a huge bang

Silence on the airwaves.

They are starting to overuse April now in the same way Corrie used to do with Chesney. There are other children in the show. Bob's twins are rarely seen at all. Little Arthur is a decent child actor too but doesnt get much chance.
Shocked that Adumb slept through all that shouting and then the fire and explosion. Average stunt but the episode was very good. Looking forward more to the aftermath episodes.

Ross' jump was ridiculous. FGS if Cain had been going to kill him he'd have shoved him into the water himself. Why did he jump to almost certain death? Was he SO determined to ruin
Pete's marriage? That was a quarry, goodness knows how deep the water was

Mind you he's tougher than he looks. He survived the fall, didn't drown and lay face down in the water for goodness knows how long I bet he picks himself and goes back and rescues a few people. ED does need to cut back on that typeof stuff with both him and Cain, IMO. It's getting silly.

1. You make a good point about Ross, he should have taken the money and done what Cain asked...however I'm sure the Cain beating Ross up and kidnapping him was written in to please the Cain Groupies

5. While I always thought Marlon/Rhonna worked better than Paddy/Rhonna and Maurel we really don't need affair #5378 this summer. At this point there is more sleeping around in Emmerdale than there ever was on Melrose Place.

Reading them it's making me think that the casualites could be:

Spoiler

Personally I thought last night's was a cracking episode and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course there were daft parts like Ross jumping into 2ft of water and not smashing his body up. Indeed he must have gills because he managed to breathe while his face was submerged But what the hell, it was good. A right rollercoaster of an episode which really came alive in the last part.

Nothing wrong with the stunt either. I don't know why people expect Hollywood special effects on a British TV budget.

Yes if they had had the Special Effects of the film Gravity some people would still be moaning that its not good enough heh.
