You're spot on about the difference between the actors who play Ross and Adam. I believed in Ross and Michael Parr was spot on, puling out all the stops but not descending into overacting. If he really has gone he will be a loss to the show but if he has I hope it was Michael's decision to go because he wants to spread his wings. He really is a good actor and could go far.
But how the hell did Adam survive? When that gas canister shot into the sky we saw the flames shoot out horizontally on both sides, that car would have been engulfed and no one would have been able to get to it! Just have to go with the flow I suppose but put it this way, he's one of the few where I wasn't on the edge of my seat hoping he'd live, lol!
Cain was all manly and heroic *swoons* Aaron wasn't a slacker either when it came to risking his life to save others.
Pete is getting darker and darker and I can't believe he killed (or did he ...) his brother for that cheating harpy. Sorry, I know Debbie has her fans on here (
) but it just won't compute with me why these men fall so hopelessly and desperately in love with her to such an extent that one brother will kill the other because they're love rivals
Pete's logic baffles me - cheating cow of a finance (now wife) - forgiven. Brother - kills and dumps body (really was self-preservation all the way with him). It's not like Ross raped Debbie where you could empathise if not approve of such a reaction, Debbie was more than a willing participant! I hope he can live with what he's done because I don't know how he could take that hug off his dad knowing what he's done, that his brother is dead (or is he ...) and he's keeping that knowledge from his family and the chance for them to grieve and have a proper funeral. Pete certainly has turned dark and in soap terms has just turned very interesting, I thought the actor was quite convincing too and has risen to the challenge.
Personally I loved Val's 'ghost' (I like to think of her as a ghost rather than an hallucination). It's not like ED hasn't done this before, Marlon talked to Tricia when she died. But the calmer, more serene Val who came back was great (not the OTT harpy she'd turned into). Giggled at her advice for Eric: "stay away from funfairs" and "if you get back with that Brenda I'll haunt the bajesus out of the pair of you"
Ghost or hallucination? Does it matter, it was a great scene and a fitting send off not only for the character but the coupling of Val and Eric.”

Agree with all - especially the bits I've bolded.
