Wondering if anyone is getting this? I have the older one whether I'll get this new one I don't know. I'll see how reviews go.

No I won't be getting this as o have the voyage which is superior to the new paper white. However I think it's a good upgrade for anyone with a first or second generation paper white or even the basic kindle or kindle keyboard.

I have the one that came out before it. I think it's £99 now. Not sure how much better this new one would be.

I have Paperwhite 2, I am not getting another eReader while this one is alive, I don't miss anything, screen is great, its resolution more than enough for me. Maybe if it could cook.

I have the original PW and still going strong. I also "rooted" it and use it as a wireless screen for my raspberry pi. Can't see any point in upgrading for limited additional functionality.

I have the old 3G keyboard kindle,do the newer models have backlight now?
The reason I prefer to read off of kindle than any tablet is due to no lighting it would put me off if they were all like that now.

You can turn off the light completely. But it really isn't as a backlit LCD screen. As in the máme, it makes the screen whiter. I find it useful in the evening, I don't need an external light. My eyes are rather sensitive to LCD screens, but this is fine, no issues at all.

I've asked a few times on this forum. On your PW do you get a faint dark shadow at the bottom edge of the screen?

According to the ad, that is the WiFi only version. WiFi + 3G is £144.99.
