Just had a quick browse at some of the comments from a couple of their posts, he's blown it.

I was speaking to a couple of mates in an Irish-themed pub last night, and asked them if they watched BB. They said they didn't, but I still went on to ask if they knew Marc, they said they didn't, so I told them what he was like and they said they hated him.

anyone else know what a section of society thinks about someone from checking with a few randoms?

Erm..tbf though that analogy is completely different as the people you 'spoke to' didn't even watch the show.

But using facebook/forums/BOTs/crowd to gauge popularity is generally the wrong thing to do. As usually, they are wrong. Forums tend to be more accurate though, but mainly because the people who use them are the so called 'hardcore' fans who are more likely to actually vote. I believe this forum takes credit for Rachel Rice's win? And that was back when a lot more people voted

Having said that, I would love Danny to lose his overnight popularity. I feel a lot of people do not so much like Danny..more they see him as the 'anti-Marc' option. So Danny is liked for disliking someone who others dislike. Harry had a massive surge in popularity also when she 'went against' Marc.

which is why I made up an example that had no merit - just like the FB one the OP gave.

Jeez!

And forums are also misleading. Anyone who was on here last year and saw Helen win over Ashleigh will tell you that, or indeed, anyone who saw the poll for the 8-way eviction this series that had jack on his way, or the one that had Jade safe as houses - moments before she left.

One of the worst things about this place (besides people who take all my posts at face value...) is that some here think this place is representative and influential, and thus behave like blind cheerleaders rather than observers.
