Something tells me he's not going to lower himself to a Twitter spat. Helen can't help herself - it's goading from afar - she wrote that article to attempt to exonerate herself but is making herself look vengeful and spiteful on Twitter.

I looked at her Twitter - it's tweet after tweet , day after day of foul mouthed insults and abuse. Why would she want that life? She can't be making herself happy can she? She's very full of hate.

I see a hell of a lot of outrage (some of it is definitely exaggerated) re the rapist murder comment, but no one seems to have taken Brian, or Nikki etc on for saying disgusting/ nasty stuff to Helen? How is that any different? Surely they should be condemned just as much as Helen has been?

Why has Brian not had thread after thread and comment after comment, slating him for the horrible things he said, like Helen has?

Was the 1m£ confirmed, I thought it was undisclosed. Wouldn't he have got more because they would need to take into account the profits he may have missed out on? I'm very sketchy in the legal area.

That Brian has been silent for 3 days is quite *ominous* for Helen. To me that suggests that he may have sought legal advice or is preparing a case. However, what probably would happen is that Brian would receive some 'damages'/deal and there will be a public reconciliation with Helen/Marc.

That is one possibility .
Another Possibility : perhaps he is actually following advice to maintain a dignified silence in the light of his own behaviour in the house

Brian, as a walker, should not have been on BOTS. Producers chose to have him there with the purpose of slating Helen while she was in the house and couldn't reply. The even had paid guests sitting there threatening violence towards Helen while the audience cheered. Disgraceful. If it was felt that Brian should have something to say on the matter then it should have been done this week. They knew Helen was out on Friday so why not have them both on together and let both say what they want. After they both had a say then they could have apologised to each other because Brian definitely owes Helen an apology. As it stands Helen was forced to apologise by Rylan when she didn't even know what had been shown. Neither rylan or Emma would let her say a word against Brian although Brian had been allowed to slate her. It's just not right and I don't know how anyone could have watched that and not have an issue with it.

Helen didn't get a chance to catch her breath , and her interviews were all about Brian - when she'd been in the house long enough to have had so much more to say about her time, she dominated every HL show fgs.

And despite Brian's aggressive verbal attacks at Marc , at Helen , and him breaching BB rules and leaving over the wall,,,,, he had a full and balanced interview on bots , and was treated with kid gloves , and he was all smiles with Rylan ,,,, , Helen wasn't.

Very unprofessional and so bias. Surely Brian's not that unstable that BB were concerned for his mental state ? Or were they ? it's a viable point !

But I think in this case to me it was more pandering to the baying sycophants that swallow the self -perpetuating legend" nonsense and can't see the wood for the trees ( forgive the pun) in addition to also being gentle to Brian who was bound to be still upset

I have no problem with the latter as long as the same treatment is afforded all the housemates alike- love them or " hate " them

Which brings me to my views on legend and legend worshipping that seems to be particularly rife here and in BB

I am getting more and more frustrated with the cult of celebrity and this "legend"nonsense IN GENERAL as to me it is a very dangerous game that is now influencing yet another generation :
This mentality and making of heroes or "legends "on eg the / any chosen celebrity circuit as they like to call it leads to situations where people are lionized to the extent that no one will admit or concede if they are in the wrong or if and when they do commit harm

If they do commit a wrong and hopefully it's a small percentage) the victims are not believed because of the perpetrators have "legend status "and much more suffering is inflicted on them as they :

1) suffer the initial harm
2) no one believes them because a legend did it - sometimes more painful than the act
3) self doubt because their hero perpetrated the harm

Legend or not these people are human and make mistakes - like everyone
No one person is better than another - legend or not - and should be afforded equal treatment

The problem is when no one will admit it or even see it in the first place

Poor Helen, she was so frightened and intimidated, it realy sucked the joy right out of her being in that oppressive house, seldom have I seen someone so victimised, and why? Because she was an easy target due to her shyness, poor girl, I'm glad 1100 people complained to ofcom on her behalf

I find this quite patronising as you appear to be suggesting other opinions aren't valid if they are supporting a 'popular' idea or housemate etc and try to debate a point in favour simply because its the popularist view.. and therefore can't see the woods for the trees.. as you say.

I don't think I have been. I just said I thought your post was patronising. And maybe dismissive of the popularist view simply because it was popular.. And therefore people can't really form an opinion because they are biased or something like that anyway..
