The one at 3am is a repeat of last night's episode.

It is on 5+24 at this very moment. I am recording it as I missed yesterday's episode.

Yay! Finally caught up after the PVR decided not to record it yesterday, so I think I get where everything is now - all back to normal except most of the people and the two additions who aren't really additions because they were there the whole time.

When it comes to 'resets' this is one of the most effective I've seen - not a time loop and not an 'end with a shower' because although it's all back to where it was, all the relationships have been thrown completely out of the window.

So... Eva and Christine had been sent by that company to look for the egg, only to be captured by it and given a new set of orders for the Egg Agenda... does that sounds about right?

Both UK and U.S. Pace have asked what the point of Melanie was. There was only one real reason the Angie actress left to star in Tomorrowland and they needed a replacement that could interact with Junior as a replacement Angie at short notice and forward the 'alien' storyline

Watched it all up to date but that's it for me. I'm out.
Likewise, I was totally confused then totally in fits of laughter over the dreadful dialogue and ham acting in parts.
It was interesting, now it's just unwatchable tosh for me.

They should really stop having at least one character say "This makes no sense" in every episode.

Surprised to hear that there is a motel in Chester's Mill! How come Norrie and her moms couldn't stay there when they found themselves trapped in the town? And talking of Norrie, she doesn't seem bothered about her remaining mom since everyone came out of the cocoons? (same as always)

*splutter* What??? When??? At least have the decency to put that sort of thing in spoiler tags!

It's always been there, since erm... always...? Yes, that's it - Chester's Mill has always had a motel since it's on a main road between lots of important places. Like Zenith. And that other town. How could you doubt such a thing?

How come Norrie and her moms couldn't stay there when they found themselves trapped in the town?
Obviously it was being wallpapered at the time. Or repainted. And it was right by the water tower and all the rooms except those already occupied were flooded and had to dry out. Along with already being there the whole time.

And talking of Norrie, she doesn't seem bothered about her remaining mom since everyone came out of the cocoons? (same as always)
Apart from rather bizarrely misreading that as 'coconuts' I think the extra personal weirdness is probably because they are all halfway drone-ified and all that namby pamby human emotion stuff is being blanked out. Probably.

Why Steven King has agreed to still have his name attached to this nonsense is a mystery to me.
Can I refer you to this sentence....

Julia got the dome lifted by asking the alien kids who put it there nicely.

The ending to this wont be the same as the book so no aliens kids responsible. They told Stephen King before they started filming the first season what the ending would be and Stephen said he loved it and wished he had thought of it for the book.

So Stephen already knows what the ending will be and gives it his seal of approval.

Almost the entire episode made sense, where do I complain

If we lifted up Chester's Mill and looked at the underside, would we see an Aktaion logo stamped on the underside...?

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that some black-ops people showed up but since they did, I wonder if they know how to find the exit, or if they know it might be one-way (soldier might do that, mad scientist surely wouldn't).

Yay for the return of Grumpy Norrie

But eww for the new diet plan, cattle feed mashed with alien goo

Totally done with this show now. This whole new season has got "shark: jumped" written all over it. A failed attempt to 'reboot' drama under the dome, when in our house we were quite excited to see them finally get out of the dome.

And now we're done with the dome.

I think I have reached the same point as you. I found my mind wandering badly last night, as it did last week, and at several points didn't get what they were referring back to because I'd missed it - eg what had happened the previous night between Barbi and the sort-of girlfriend who's in cahoots with Christine (also can't be bothered to remember names). With other shows, I would re-watch and fill in the gaps - I don't think I can be bothered in this case.

I'm actually enjoying this series - the alternate reality storyline is interesting. Maybe I'm just easily pleased.

I'm enjoying it too. It actually feels like a properly planned out story this season.

I'm also very glad they dispensed with the 'peril of the week' format.

I didn't like the episodes when they were in the cocoons, but I'm quite enjoying the aftermath.

People seem to be coming and going willy-nilly now.

I'm only continuing to watch this show because it's firmly in the realms of "it's-so-bad-it's-good" category. And if you watch it with the "Audio Description" facility switched on, it's hilarious. Anyway, back to the plot (?), I seem to remember that at the end of the previous episode Big Jim was seen jumping into a rowing boat with a mysterious dog and telling Julia he was getting out of town and everyone's character traits were "off". Now, at the start of this episode, the first time he is seen is when tied to a chair in a scientist's lab and guarded by one of the soldiers from outside the dome. Er, how did he get from rowboat to lab? Did I blink and miss an episode or scene?

There was a scene with Big Jim sitting in a camp (watching Junior and Christine on the mainland), not sure if the Dog was with him or not.

He then gets grabbed from behind by a gas mask wearing soldier and a bag put over his head.

Did you miss the bit at the beginning where Big Jim was watching Junior & Christine through his binoculars. Just after Christine carried on jogging, Big Jim had a bag put over his head & knocked out by 2 "men in black".

Ive only joined since S3 on C5 but theres something about the show thats makes me want to return week after week.

Rather than find myself screaming or shouting at the drama all im doing is continually laughing at everything.

Under the dome is really entertaining but for all the wrong reason!

So Christine is the experiment and Breaking Bad chappie is the control!? #discuss

is anyone else struggling with the pace of the series, episodes cover single days sometime, yet the characters flip opinion, sides or feelings to suit the plot, alot of planning being done, and im not sure they would have had, had the time to do it.

Also how did she drowned in the bath, given the hippe commune type, im surprised there is any running water in the town anymore .

It's that hypno-snog mind control syrup! Though as it's in limited supply maybe it will wear off sooner than expected or not be as powerful as hoped?

Sam seems to have broken free but won't be much help from inside his bottle, Big Jim is uninfected but stuck in the birdcage and the special ops ninjas won't get involved so presumably the rescue(s) will be down to Julia unless Joe and/or Norrie remember they nicked a grenade from the supply cupboard under the stairs or another bit of the ceiling comes down and smacks Junior on the head, thus confusing all the drones and providing the chance to get away.

Top moments include Hunter delicately serving that slop in that way that made it look so appealing and like it didn't just get dredged up from somewhere *really* unspeakable!

How can anyone *not* be enjoying this?

She took the pills before getting in the bath, not sure what they were though.

Good episode I thought, moved things along nicely.
