Isn't It the Case That Helen Got All Her "Power" Because.......

...of that pass to the final she got early on in last years Big Brother and then she had that big tall guy protecting her too and then had Marc protecting her this year?

I remember her before she got that pass and she was acting completely differently to the way she has done ever since she got that pass and then somehow went onto win BB last year. If she didn't have some big guy protecting her as well through their lust for her as well then I don't think she would have been quite as loud as she has been but still loud enough.

Everyone agrees then or you all gone to bed?

One last bump and then I'll assume I was correct. Though there do seem to be more Helen supporters on here than I would have thought which is kinda good as it helps shed some light on why she was able to win.

I don't agree. She got the pass within a few hours of arriving. So I don't know how anyone could say she acted differently after she got the pass. She wasn't there long enough before getting it to see any change in her.

She didn't need Ash or any of the others to protect her, I think they hung about with her so she wouldn't nominate them. And I think they did like her at the time.

But I do agree that she would have been unlikely to have won without the pass. But who knows? BB do manipulate things too much these days to get the viewing figures.

Didn't she get her pass on the second night? There's no real way we could see her real character pre-pass, as the only highlights we would have seen of her would be on launch night, where everyone is on their best behaviour.

To be fair to Helen, I think she would have behaved in a similar way regardless of her immunity pass. She obviously would have been evicted, but I do think she would have behaved somewhat consistently.

I can't remember if she got her pass on the first night or later on but I do remember her character was nothing like what she went onto become once she had that pass. I think with the money she's made since has added to her new and imo less desirbale character.

Having said that, maybe she was always like this but it was too early to tell.

I think she'd have behaved the same, she gets her power from intimidating people.

When they first entered the bunker you could see she was getting sidelined a little, Nikki and Brian were talking over her so she cornered Nikki in the bathroom to confront her over whatever it was Nikki was supposed to have said about her to install the fear.

Having sorted out the pecking order she then came out and took over proceedings by forging an alliance with Mark while Nikki retreated for a lie down and Brian was totally ignored.

Yes I agree and whatever anyone may think of Brian there is no way on this earth that Woods was intimidated or made to feel uneasy by him. It just doesn't tally because she tears everyone she doesn't like to shreds and when she was goading him there was no unease or anything like that shown. If she really was nervous of his reactions she would never have gone for him the way she did. She has twisted everything since she left the house to make Nikki and Brian look bad. She wrote about her mock disgust about them saying they were legends. Let's be real here. No one is thinking they are Legends in the grand scheme of things. It's just tongue in cheek in the context of BB and neither Brian or Nikki were saying they were in a serious way. We would say people like Pete, Nasty Nick, Craig Phillips, etc were but only as I said in the context of BB. No one is seriously comparing themselves to Nelson Mandella or Mother Theresa for God's sake.

Yes, I agree.

Brian has no reputation for being abrasive and antagonistic and Helen very much does have such a reputation which she proceeded to underline.

Marc stated his aim was to 'shake people up' immediately on his entrance so, rather than him changing because of her, they just emboldened each other. The idea that he is innocent of being antagonising is ridiculous.

The only way Marc has changed is that he doesn't bother with the forced 'fun' Marc so much. It should now be obvious that 'fun' is only that if he's in charge and getting the attention and someone else is the butt of it. And that most of the HMs can see through the self-promotion now so he's lost control and now bleats about how awful they all are whilst some of his fans claim he never complains.
