I'm torn between the 2 above phones for my wife.

There is a blinding deal for the Moto X (16gb for £229 or 32gb for an extra £40), but was wondering if it's that much better than the LG G3 which is around £240 at the moment.

Cheers Mark.

I have a G3 and it is a fine phone. But so is the Moto X. Battery life on both of them isn't great but the G3 has the better camera. I don't suppose the other points like Qi charging, updates, removable battery and SD cards will bother your wife that much. The X will give a smoother experience - not that the G3 is particularly stuttery.

Also note that the G3 has overheating issues, I've noticed this when tethering to my iPad and streaming or watching videos on the G3

Mine has never suffered this issue. My Lumia 930 does get bloody hot though when playing games.

The Moto X is cheaper because there's a new one on the way.

Thanks for all the replies.

In the end I took the plunge and went for the cheaper Honor 4X as it was working out at half the price (was being sensible as I needed to also buy a boring cabinet for the living room ).

I was going to give the Honor a miss, but I've been looking into it a bit more and from some of the information it looks like it does actually support 4G on band 20 (800mhz) so hopefully that will not be a problem now.

Mark.
