Notes
*According to Pulse 2’s jingles, the station has exclusive commentary of “every” Bradford City match. Pulse 1’s jingles say the same about that station. When Pulse Sport acquired exclusive Bradford City rights, they moved the coverage to Pulse 2 but quickly reversed that decision in response to complaints from listeners.
The last time Pulse 1 and Pulse 2 had sport on at the same time was in 2009, when Bradford City were away in the FA Cup at the same time as Huddersfield Town were at home. That night there were separate programmes on both stations. The last time Pulse 1 and Pulse 2 broadcast Pulse Sport together was on the final Sunday of the 1996-97 season when Pulse Sport provided commentary of every Huddersfield Town and Bradford City match. On that day, Chris Cooper commentated on Bradford City-s 3-0 victory on the Pulse and the team survived relegation. Peter Barlow commentated on Huddersfield Town’s 0-0 home draw against Swindon Town on West Yorkshire’s Classic Gold. During that season, the stations did broadcast the same match on Saturdayy afternoon, due to the match involving the other team being postponed. I think that was a Bradford City match. Generally during that season, if only one team was playing in midweek, Pulse Sport would not be on the Pulse, and if just one team was playing on the weekend, Pulse Sport would only be on the Pulse.
It would make sense if midweek matches were only on Pulse 2, or post-match coverage continued on Pulse 2 only after 22:00. I wonder if additional commentary rights have been acquired or there are plans to acquire additional commentary rights?
