Ok, after nearly two weeks on the Nexus 6, I guess I can give a little update.
First handset had a problem with the volume rocker, so that had to be sent back. Even though still not great, I would say the battery is an improvement compared to the Nexus 5. The screen is quite a difference when you put them side to side. And I like the front facing speakers. Size is not a huge problem for me, obviously you can't manage everything one handed. Would I say it's definitely worth if you already have a Nexus 5? Maybe not. I was in the situation that mine started to show cracks and I thought it was better to sell it now and get a new phone. And so far I am quite happy with it.

It would appear that those of us that bought at £304 got a good deal.

I moved from a Nexus 5 primarily because of poor battery life. It's taken me two weeks to get used to the size - it really is a beast. I love the extra screen that makes emails etc a breeze. The camera seems better although it can still be slow to start up and get a focus lock.

The battery life is ok and now lasts the day, even with moderate to heavy use (only just used the supplied charger and the turbo charging is handy too). I miss the notification light on my nexus 5 as the 6 doesn't have one (or not one that works as the nexus 5)

The keyboard is one of the main reasons I stop on Android as a swipe keyboard on iOS is a nightmare, always clicking back to the nasty stock keyboard mid-use.
