I'm starting to like Joel again.

He was really good tonight and reminded me why I liked him in the first few weeks. I don't know what happened in the last few weeks.

That's great.

It was nice to see him take control, they need to pass the task and will thank him in the long run.

I can see where the pompous claim came from though - goodness me.

Line of the night for me:

Marc - I don't want to speak. I don't want to speak.
Joel - Don't speak then!

Nice, and surprising to see him talk down Marc - edging up in my respect again!

In a Louis Walsh voice - 'He's like a young Jeremy Paxman.'

Yes, I re-like him too.

Edit: Helen happened in the last few weeks.

I think Joel (other than Nick, more because he's laid back) is the only person who Marc will back down from in an argument because Joel doesn't really raise his voice or lose his cool, which would make him look like an idiot. I think that's partly where the pompous claim comes from; because he's always in control and firm in his beliefs it can come across like that.

I screamed.

He just makes me laugh and I wish others wouldn't take him so serious.

Sorry I thought he was getting far too pompous. My god if he's like this at 19 what will he be like in ten years time. Prime Minister!

Cracked me up
Marc only would back down to Joel or Nick I think, he enjoys winding up the others

He is brilliant at getting his opinion across. The housemates all respect him in that sense, I've noticed.

I've never liked Joel , there's just nothing to him. For 19 he's embarrassingly humourless with absolutely no sense of what fun is. He's on a perpetual monologue and sounds like he's reading from a script , it's so nauseatingly boring. I think he's too young to be in BB and he's waste of a place in that house.

He was great tonight. They needed a jolly good telling off from the task monitor for their own good!

I've never liked Joel but I've reached that perverse stage of a series where I've gone off everyone I liked and now like the ones I used to dislike. I'm finally over him being a Tory and a lot of the things I didn't like about him I now find funny.

Loved him having a couple of pops at Marc tonight even though when Marc had all the power after the bunker he was suddenly his mate, even though it caused trouble for him with the others. Now Marc's under pressure and has one foot out of the door, Joel's sticking the boot in. A few weeks ago I'd have decried his sneakiness but now I think he's playing a blinder, and playing them all.

I am the opposite, totally going off Joel, at one stage I wanted him to win, but he's taking things far too serious, and who voted him the task police

He is so far up his own backside -- Wierd as his mum seemed fun , but she didn't pass that down to Joel. !

He won't be prime minister , he may make hotel manager tho. At a push. The guys stunted in so many ways , yawn..

I do , seen all of them
He isn't funny , he's just a dull splodge.
He's a teenager who is so very underdeveloped , he's probably never been to a party ending after midnight in his life , he is too young for this show. . paint drying Joel.

It doesn't take much for Joel to impress some people, he even made his interminable 'interview' with Jasmine Leonard about sex sound mind-numbingly boring.

Joel, Nick and Marc are the only three I'd say I actually like in there.

Yes I agree, I think that Joel and Nick are the only decent housemates and Joel was brilliant tonight! But I do think Chloe has improved too!

If he was a guest in your hotel you would put him in Room 101

If anyone is watching Frasier then he's like Niles and him when they do flashbacks to when they were boys. I love Frasier so I love seeing him being pompous. It's like he's constantly strung to say "Sandy, be careful!" when he went over the wall.
