I have tried other wheat biscuits from supermarket own brands (Sainsburys, Tesco, Lidl) because they were cheaper and they tasted fine but I realized that Weetabix is the best, it has a distinct smell, texture is right and is slightly different to the others.

Anyone else notice a difference and which supermarket brand do you think would be the closest in taste to Weetabix?

My fella will only eat Weetabix, I will only eat Lidl own brand. To be honest I like the Lidl own brand cereals better.

Stopped buying Weetabix when they were bought by the Chinese.
Not much taste difference in ASDA/Tesco Wheat Biscuits.

When very ill at the beginning of this year I couldn't eat. I tried a Weetabix with hot milk, and it stayed down. Currently as a treat I will eat 4 with hot milk, with sugar to continue trying to bulk up. Closest alternative is the Asda brand, which in my opinion is the original brand in an Asda box.

Tesco and Asda own brand are fine so I tried the Tesco value version. Don't.
