Advice on already refrigerated food, removed

Ordered a new fridge, took all items out of fridge stored in a cool bag overnight.
Fridge was supposed to be here early hours of the morning, typically there was trouble with deliveries and a delay etc so now my food isn't very 'cool' any more, would have been okay if the fridge had arrived on time.

Anyway, enough of my humpy ramblings

This is the list of food I stored and is now a bit warm, are any safe to restore in a fridge?

Cheddar Cheese
Milk (I think this is a given I should throw)
Pickled Beetroot
Feta Cheese
Cucumber
Lettuce
Dairylea Dunkers
Sauces...Tomato, Salad Cream, Brown, Mayo
Bacon & cocktail sausages (I guess these should be chucked too?)
Chocolate Desserts (Rolo)
Activia Yogurts
Eggs
Watermelon

Is anything worth saving?

I realise some can be stored out of the fridge anyway but I was reading about how once items are refrigerated, they should stay that way and only okay if returned within 2 to 4 hours, i read a whole article on watermelons about it but thought it a bit much researching each item as someone might know here

It's not a major issue, I can replace the items easily enough, just more of an annoyance.

I'd worry only about the meat.
Query why you're keeping eggs in the fridge though?

I agree about the meat, keep a check on the cheese as well.

Why do we keep sauces in fridges now? i remember years ago, stuff like Tomato sauce used to be stored in the larder.

They have changed the recipes of sauces in the last five years or so.

The only sauce I keep in the fridge once opened is mayonnaise.

All the 'bold' items will be fine. I never put sauces, eggs or pickles in a fridge, no need.

It have been more than 5 years since we been putting sauces into fridges, I was doing it long before I moved in here and that was 20 years ago.
But I do remember as a child taking them out of the pantry, we never stored them in the fridge,

I know those days we used to have a big stone slab in our pantry which we used to put butter on once opened, but there is no way that it would make a difference to sauces which in those days was in glass bottles. I hate these squeezy upside down bottles.

Thank you all, I chucked the sausages/bacon & milk and put the rest in the fridge, just in case they were okay.

After reading all the advice here I have just thrown the yogurts and cheeses too, was a bit wary about the cheese as had been opened.

Funny old thing about the sauces, how we used to keep them all in the pantry.

In answer to the egg question, I just keep them in the fridge as it says to on the box

What a waste of a nice bacon sarnie and perfectly good cheddar cheese.
The milk could have been frozen.

I'd say you're being overcautious.

For the 'fresh' items (watermelon, cucumber, lettuce, cheddar, milk, eggs) just use common sense. I don't refrigerate eggs at all personally and have eaten them months after their use by date.

The sauces and beetroot should be fine as they're high in salt, sugar and vinegar; all preservatives.

The feta (assuming it's unopened), desserts and yoghurt should be fine, but their expiry may have been hastened a little.

I might consider throwing the bacon & sausages (especially if cooked) or using them soon.

With regards to switching items between fridge and room temperature, I'd imagine that's to do with messing with the texture, but there may be more to it.

If milk smells fine and taste fine and isn't lumpy, it's fine. Likewise if cheese doesn't have visible mould, it'll be fine.

It'll be fine if you slice off the mould.

I'd have sniffed the milk before I'd put it back in the fridge, and if it didn't smell off, It'd go back in the fridge. Along with everything else. Unless your kitchen is particularly warm.

I'm another one who doesn't keep eggs in the fridge. When you buy them in the supermarket they're not in the fridge so I don't get why anyone puts them in the fridge, apart from the fact that when you buy a fridge it's supplied with an egg tray for some reason which eludes me.
