Why PM people and then post in public to everyone?

I told you the details back in may, privately, and since then you've been posting it to anyone and everyone without checking who they were.. and now you've posted to the whole world.

I agree with you on this Jon. It looks like the page has been pulled and rightly so. Why should one person ruin it for everyone else, no matter how good their intentions may have seemed.

Why PM people for weeks then go public?

There was always every chance that someone from Three would register and say 'hey I'm off on my hols' and you'd mail them, but still.

I just hope I can still use it when travelling for the foreseeable future.

Anyway, it's gone now so let's move on.

But you've already done the damage as you posted it for the world to see.

Sending PMs would have been better (although you still shouldn't have done that to everyone) as then at least not everyone will have got that info.

I wouldn't be surprised if Three have automatic searches for things like this.

Won't be too long before the new EU regs come in that promise net neutrality when roaming in the EU so this whole throttling nonsense will cease once and for all.

That's true, but I suspect that's still a way off.

Such a shame this happened though, especially as I was about to offer people special codes to activate 4G roaming, unrestricted tethering and enabling 800MHz even on phones without 800 support...

Unless, like the US law, there are various get out clauses that allow 3 to keep doing what they are doing now.

Or they could go for the more extreme route of blocking data entirely

Hi, you can use Orange F, Bouygues & Free, from my experience probably best to use Orange F around the Calais area, usually get sub 1Mbps on Bouygues.

If it is the one I think it is, it isn't some secret thing. It's a reasonably popular VPN product. I'm sure anyone at 3 who actually cares already knew about it even before it was publicised.

Personally I find it funny that people are being so protective over a service that lets you do something 3 doesn't want you to do. It's very remininscent of unlimited tethering - how long before free data roaming becomes limited?

From what I understand Three weren't aware of it, hence why it shouldn't have been published

I just think Three should stop calling it Feel at Home because it isn't. Why don't they just say World Roaming or something, then I wouldn't expect anything.

Was using Feel at home in Las Vegas and surrounding areas over the last week and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. For general browsing, Google Maps, Instagram etc I thought the service was good enough (on AT&T, T-Mobile didn't seem as reliable). Once I did try to start stream TuneIn and a YouTube and it did actually work. To be honest I didn't give it a proper check, just wanted to see if it worked at all. Feel at home? Maybe not. But better than expected, especially after seeing a few comments on here.

Thank you! No need to be so protective about it. Besides this particular protocol can defeat the great firewall of China so I don't think we need to worry
