Driving to the south of France next month. Will Apple Maps work properly with the data?

If not I've got TomTom Western Europe already and if I bought the traffic add on would it work / download the traffic info quickly?

Cheers

In France at the minute. Apple maps is working (slow, but working). You won't be able to use the TomTom addon as you can't teather.

Only thing that works without any speed issues is Facebook. They are restricting everything else massively.

Would it be possible for me to get the VPN please? I'm off to France this Friday.

I used Feel at Home in the States earlier this year and found it spot on for Apple Maps, iMessage and Whatsapp etc but a little slow for web browsing. Although brill for free!

I'm off to the USA, Boston and then further into New England such as New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine - any idea what roaming partners Three use there? - it's rather sparsely populate in some places I'm going to so not expecting miracles

Roaming partners for 3 in the USA are AT&T and T-Mobile although you are likely to latch onto AT&T for the majority of your stay. T-Mobile coverage isn't as widely populated like AT&T so even the sparsely populated places should pick up AT&T no problem and T-Mobile in main cites if it switches but that is very much unlikely unless you decided to manually switch over networks yourself.
