Cannot send you a PM as your settings don't allow it.

Roaming partners for 3 in the USA are AT&T and T-Mobile although you are likely to latch onto AT&T for the majority of your stay. T-Mobile coverage isn't as widely populated like AT&T so even the sparsely populated places should pick up AT&T no problem and T-Mobile in main cites if it switches but that is very much unlikely unless you decided to manually switch over networks yourself.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

I'm on three payg. Normally just on the 123 tariff. Yesterday in the UK I added the £20 add on so is get feel at home when I travelled to Norway today.

Now in Norway and I've got no data. Is there anything else I need to do? Also got my work O2 phone with me and it gets data here no problem on the same network (Telenor). Already tried at 3 locations - Oslo airport, Tromso airport and the small town where I'm staying. 3G available in all 3 locations.

Is your phone logged onto the local network ok? Can you make/receive calls/texts? Have you got data roaming enabled on the phone?

Just suddenly started working an hour ago. 12 hours after I got to Norway. I haven't changed anything in that time. Next time I travel to a feel at home country I'm going to make sure I buy an add on more than just a few hours before I travel. Maybe it just took a while for Three to register my on their feel at home database.

I'm in the middle of nowhere and just got a speedtest of 4.97 Mbps. Web browsing is very snappy. Not a sniff of Three Norway only Telnor in the locations I've been to.

Three NO doesn't exist as far as I know, they might hold a licence but they've never launched. Only Telenor for Norway as a roaming partner.

A quick question on feel at home: I'm off to Italy soon, does it only work on three italy, with other networks being charged for at normal roaming rates ( ie wind vodafone)

Just to add some experience into here...

I went to southern rural France last week and spent most of the time using Bouygues Telecom on 3G and EDGE.

3G speeds were amazing and anything I threw at it, whether it be Internet browsing, Facebook, speed tests etc, it took them with ease. I did one speedyest which came out at 14Mpbs download and 3Mbps upload which I thought was brilliant.

I also had experience of Orange F and Free which were both satisfactory in all of the above but just not quite as fast as Bouygues.
I also had the same experience in California earlier in the year. No issues with AT&T. Speedy for whatever I needed to do. This is all without using the special VPN as I have an iPhone so it won't work!

The amount of money I saved must be amazing. I used around 1GB in the USA with a couple of texts too so it's a really good thing to have available as an inclusive feature!

It works on any network you can register on in a Feel at home country. For italy, it's 3 and Wind.

Feel at home sounds perfectly suited for your browsing needs but the VPN is for people who wish to utilise streaming, downloading apps, maps etc...

Very Interesting, have you tried this with Orange or Bouygues?

Any reason for this post?

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...15&postcount=1

Why PM people and then post in public to everyone?

I told you the details back in may, privately, and since then you've been posting it to anyone and everyone without checking who they were.. and now you've posted to the whole world.
